Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing GitHub Copilot and Leapd.

What's the story behind your product?

Leapd's answer:

Leapd started with a simple frustration: building a business alone means doing five jobs at once. You can create a product, but then you're also the marketer, the salesperson, the content writer, and the growth team — and the product stalls while you do everything else. The tools that promised to help didn't actually do the work; they just gave you more dashboards to operate.

So we built the team we couldn't hire. Leapd is a set of specialized AI agents that work the way a real startup team does — one ships the product, others run growth campaigns, outreach, content, and AI-search visibility — each deep in its own job, all sharing context so the work compounds. Leapd itself is proof of the model: its own agents run its marketing, its outreach, and its growth, around the clock.

The goal hasn't changed since day one: make it possible for one person with a real idea to build and grow a real business — without hiring a team or raising capital first.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Leapd's answer:

Leapd runs a multi-agent system built on the latest LLMs, with each agent specialized for a job — engineering, content, growth, outreach, and AI-search visibility. Agents write and ship real code inside secure sandboxes, deploy live to Vercel, and run on AWS infrastructure. Email goes through Brevo, product analytics through PostHog, and everything reports back daily.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Leapd's answer:

Leapd's customers are mostly early-stage founders, solo operators, and small businesses — people building real products without a team behind them. They range from first-time founders launching an idea from scratch to established small businesses handing off their marketing and growth. Hundreds of businesses have been launched and are run through Leapd, spanning e-commerce, services, SaaS, and local businesses across the US and Europe. We don't publicize individual customer names, but their businesses — the products, campaigns, and growth Leapd ships for them — are the portfolio.

What makes your product unique?

Leapd's answer:

Most AI tools either build you an app and stop, or hand you a single chatbot to babysit. Leapd is different: it's a team of specialized AI agents that builds your product and then runs the business — shipping real code, launching growth campaigns, generating leads, and growing your visibility across AI search. The agents feed each other's work, compounding results around the clock, and every morning you get a clear report of what was completed, what's running, and what happens next. No workflows to configure, no team to hire — you bring the idea, Leapd does the work of a startup team.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Leapd's answer:

Choose Leapd if you want a business that actually runs — not just another tool to operate. App builders hand you a deployed product and stop; single-agent assistants give you one generalist chatbot that's shallow at everything. Leapd gives you a team of specialized agents that go end-to-end: they build and ship your product, then take over growth — ad campaigns, personalized outreach, content, and visibility across AI search. Because the agents share context and feed each other's work, results compound instead of sitting in disconnected tools. There's nothing to configure — you point Leapd at an idea or an existing business, it gets to work, and every morning you get a clear report of what was completed, what's running, and what's next. You stay the decision-maker; Leapd does the work of the team you haven't hired yet.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Leapd's answer:

Leapd is built for people who want to launch and grow something real without assembling a team first — early-stage founders turning an idea into a product, solo operators and indie hackers running a business alongside everything else, small business owners who need marketing and growth handled but can't justify full-time hires, and lean teams that want to move like a much bigger company. What they share: ambition that outpaces their headcount, limited time and capital, and a preference for outcomes over learning and operating a stack of tools themselves. They'd rather wake up to a report of work completed than spend the day doing that work.
