I built PanInfraSpec to keep my hands off that loop. It's agenerator that takes Dhall inputs and emits Serverspec *_spec.rb files. The Ruby still does the actual checking, but I no longer write it. I'll give a shot at some guiding principals: 1. Do not use yaml. All github action logic should be written in a language that compiles to yaml, for example dhall (https://dhall-lang.org/).
