What's the story behind your product?

Artistu's answer:

Back in 2023 we jumped into the deep end of the pool and started our artist agency in the electronic music scene.

Everything went well at first (with docs, spreadsheets and calendars) until we started getting more and more bookings and started forgetting which bookings were confirmed, paid or cancelled. Which invoices were sent and which weren't. And that was just the start.

We started looking around for some kind of online system to handle this, but we couldn't find anything that actually adhered to what we were looking for both for us and our artists: simple, cheap and modern.

All other booking systems were just too complicated or too expensive.

That's when the idea for Artistu came to us.

Niek (the founder) already had years of experience as a senior engineer building applications for all kinds of companies. And he got straight to work building Artistu.

We wanted to create a modern and simple booking system for artists and agencies.

The first prototype was finished in 3 weeks. And with your help and thousands of hours of testing we've made that idea into a complete product with a heap of capabilities helping agencies and artists from all over the world.

Artistu is here for the long run. We want to keep empowering artists and agencies worldwide for years to come with an affordable, easy to use booking system with a human touch and great support. And make it the number one booking system for artists and agencies worldwide.

  • I almost credited llms.txt for a Google AI Mode win. Then I read what Google actually says.
Where llms.txt genuinely gets read is a different layer: coding and agent tooling โ€” Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf โ€” pulling a documentation site's pages with less token waste, plus emerging agent protocols like OpenAI's Agents SDK. That's real, and it's growing fast. - Source: dev.to / 8 days ago

  • Agentic: Which App/Harness Is Best for Angular Development?
For over a decade PhpStorm (starting in my WordPress era) and later WebStorm have been my main IDEs for web development. So when GitHub Copilot launched, it was a natural choice to try it out in WebStorm. It was one of the first AI coding tools I used, and it had a big impact on how I thought about AI-assisted coding. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
  • Your Design System Needs An MCP Server
Before we get into it, there are some things about AI usage worth addressing. I've had my fair share of scepticism in the past, but recent model releases have made it increasingly difficult to argue that AI isn't a viable tool for the majority of workstreams, including building user interfaces. Most large language models are trained on public data scraped from the internet, which means your internal design system... - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
