What makes your product unique?

WishCopy's answer:

WishCopy turns a birthday message into a short interactive experience instead of static text: candles to blow out, gifts to unwrap, a piñata to smash, and more, each with sound and animation before the message reveals. You can add a 20-second voice or video clip, an AI-personalized message, or one of 600+ hand-written wishes. Beyond solo wishes, it also does Group Wishes (up to 12 people on one card), full Party Invitations with RSVP tracking and calendar add, Birthday Reminders that export straight to your calendar, and Encore, a paid add-on that keeps a sent wish's link and media online for good and lets you schedule up to 12 dated follow-up notes over the year instead of the wish just expiring after 7 days. All free, no signup.

Every named competitor does one thing: Kudoboard is a group message board, Tribute and VidDay compile video clips, Group Greeting is a group card. WishCopy does all of that in one free tool, plus 15+ interactive reveal formats, a full sticker/photo editor, curated gift suggestions, Birthday Reminders, and Encore for keeping a sent wish alive with scheduled follow-ups. No account on either side, sender or recipient.

People organizing a birthday or party for someone else, friends and family sending a personal wish solo, groups pooling into one card together, casual party hosts who need RSVP tracking without a heavier event tool, and anyone browsing for a gift idea to pair with their message.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

WishCopy's answer:

Netlify Functions (TypeScript), PostgreSQL via Drizzle ORM (hosted on Supabase), the Anthropic API for AI-personalized message generation, Stripe for the paid Encore add-on, and Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. Front end is vanilla JavaScript/HTML/CSS, no framework.

What's the story behind your product?

WishCopy's answer:

It started with a personal moment: pulling into my parents' driveway for a birthday visit with a card in hand and no pen to write in it, no signal to fix the problem on the spot. My parents love a physical card, but they're not especially tech-savvy, though they know how to open an email or text. That gap stuck with me: there had to be a way to give them that same feeling digitally, so I taught myself to build it. What began as a simple phrase generator grew, one feature at a time, into a full "birthday suite": interactive reveal experiences, Group Wishes, Party Invitations, and Encore. It's free and signup-free on purpose, so anyone, tech-savvy or not, can send something that actually gets kept and reopened instead of glanced at once and forgotten.
