It is designed to feel modern and straightforward, with a smooth experience for both organizers and participants. Participants can respond without creating an account, so sharing an event and getting people to take part is quick and frictionless.

What makes your product unique?

Pickadate's answer:

PickaDate brings four common ways of coordinating people into one clean, modern experience: group date polls, RSVP tracking, shifts and rosters, and registration with limited capacity.

Instead of using a different tool for each type of event, you can create an event, share one link, and collect everyone's responses in one place. No account is needed for participants, making it quick and easy to use with friends, groups, teams, or communities.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PickaDate is for anyone who needs to coordinate people around dates, attendance, shifts, or registrations. It can be used for everything from weddings, dinners, parties and family gatherings to sports training, workshops, classes, volunteer shifts, team activities and community events. It is particularly useful for people who want an easy way to organize groups without requiring everyone to create an account.

What's the story behind your product?

Pickadate's answer:

PickaDate started as a side project born from my frustration with the scheduling tools I was using. I felt there was room for something that looked and felt better, so I decided to build it myself.

What began as a small experiment has grown into a broader tool for organizing events and coordinating people. I'm an independent maker, and PickaDate is part of my ongoing journey of turning ideas that bother me into products that hopefully make things a little easier.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

It is designed for a broad range of users, from individuals organizing dinners, weddings and parties to teams, trainers, communities and organizations coordinating events, schedules and registrations.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Pickadate's answer:

PickaDate is built with Python and FastAPI on the backend, with a responsive frontend using Basecoat UI and Tailwind CSS. The application is containerized with Docker, runs on Ubuntu infrastructure, and uses Cloudflare for DNS, security, and performance.
