TableToSQL started from a problem I repeatedly faced in my own work as a software developer. I often received data in Excel that needed to be transformed into SQL statements, and the usual solution was building formulas that concatenated cell values to generate SQL. It worked, but it was repetitive, time-consuming, and surprisingly easy to get wrong. A small spreadsheet reference mistake can still generate perfectly valid SQL while using the wrong data, making the error difficult to notice before it reaches the database. That experience made me think there had to be a safer and simpler way. I built TableToSQL to eliminate that repetitive process: paste or import the data, configure how the columns should be used, preview the result, and generate the SQL directly from the source data instead of relying on manually constructed spreadsheet formulas.
