Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Freelancer.com and Capstacker.

What makes your product unique?

Capstacker's answer:

Capstacker combines outcome-based payment mechanisms (milestone, equity, revenue share, deferred fee) with a fractional-talent marketplace and benchmarks for what's fair compensation.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Capstacker's answer:

Founders pay nothing to join and only pay when a deal closes, so there's no upfront retainer or flat marketplace fee. Compensation is structured around milestones, equity, revenue share, or deferred fees instead of hourly billing or salary, which lets startups close execution gaps without full-time-hire overhead. For the operators, agencies, and service teams on the other side, it means ownership and upside tied to results rather than time billed, something the flat-fee and payroll-style competitors don't offer.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Capstacker's answer:

Early-stage startups that need to structure contractor spending around product, revenue or delivery milestones instead of fixed retainers.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Capstacker's answer:

Following organizations trust Capstacker with their startups - Tenity - Startup Wise Guys - Turk Telekom Ventures

What's the story behind your product?

Capstacker's answer:

We're a team of former startup operators. We built Capstacker because traditional pay structures break hiring on both sides: startups sit on open roles for months because they can't front cash, and good operators walk away from good opportunities because they can't work for free. Capstacker replaces the fixed paycheck with pay tied to milestones, equity, or revenue, so startups hire the moment they need to and operators get paid when they deliver.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Capstacker's answer:

Capstacker is built on a modern Python and Django stack with a PostgreSQL database, running on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard integrations for payments, e-signatures and authentication.
