Don't do bootcamp. Start with something like https://freecodecamp.org and take a few lessons. Try to build something from that and see how motivated you are. If you see some progress and this thing still excites you, then may be find an engineer (a friend/co worker etc) who can guide you a bit as you continue to build something. In my own case, I struggled for over a decade, to get anywhere at all useful with Spanish, until someone in this forum recommended readlang.com. I can't speak for anyone else, but for myself: just reading entire stories, as fast as I could, without stopping AT ALL when I ran into an unknown word, or tense, or idiom, made THE critical difference. Readlang, but you have to have a basic vocabulary; otherwise it is not easy. Https://readlang.com/ I've had a love and hate relationship with Duolingo for Dutch and French. I'm trying it for Greek now and it seems to have improved over the last few years. Source: over 3 years ago
