It deserves an editor that knows your data, a preview you can trust, tests and a proper release process, rather than a drag-and-drop canvas. Keeping rendering and storage in the EU was part of the plan from the start, because invoices and contracts are full of personal data.

Documents are rendered by headless Chromium (Playwright) on Fly.io in Frankfurt, Word and PowerPoint files through LibreOffice (Gotenberg), and PDF tools use pdf-lib and qpdf. The API gateway and CDN run on Cloudflare Workers with Hono, files live in Cloudflare R2, and Supabase (Postgres) holds the data and handles sign-in. The app is Angular with the Monaco editor and Paged.js for the paginated preview; the template engines are Nunjucks, LiquidJS and Handlebars. The website is built with Astro, the docs with Docusaurus, and billing runs on Stripe.
