I built Layoutr because I was about to move and wanted to know exactly which furniture would fit in my new place, what sizes were realistic, and how the layout would work before buying or hauling anything. The tools I found were either too complicated or would not let me upload my own floor plan and set the scale from a real measurement. So I did what every developer does and built it myself. It is a Van Dijk Ontwikkeling product, made in the Netherlands, and it has grown to paying subscribers with no ad budget, purely through organic and AI search.
