I'm looking at the WSGI specification and I'm trying to figure out how servers like uWSGI fit into the picture. I understand the point of the WSGI spec is to separate web servers like nginx from web applications like something you'd write using Flask. What I don't understand is what uWSGI is for. If you understand all that and just want to get started as quickly as possible, use a project generator such as cookiecutter-django or API Bakery. Note that I'd avoid using these until you have a solid grasp of Django otherwise you'll have no idea what's going on. Source: about 3 years ago
