It's simple by default, and wholly plugin-based so you can add whatever functionality you want (and nothing you don't!). Use it for personal notes, lists, etc - as well as a Journal, Accomplishments tracker, Task management, project tracker, blog writing tool, ideation tool, reminders tool, and more.

This morning I pressed a hotkey, typed a thought, pressed the same hotkey and kept doing what I was doing. I didn't have to even look to type that info. Flashnote makes that possible. Source: almost 5 years ago
