Final Capsule is a dead man's switch for the things that matter most.
You write messages for the people you love: letters, voice notes, photos, videos, passwords or crypto seed phrases. Everything is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it leaves your browser, so we only ever store ciphertext and cannot read anything.
Then we check in with you periodically by email. If you ever stop responding, a multi-phase verification process starts: reminders first, then trusted people you designated ("SafeGuards") are asked to confirm before anything is released. Only then are your capsules delivered to your chosen recipients.
Why it exists: when someone dies, families are usually locked out of accounts, password managers and hardware wallets, and the words that mattered were never written down. Existing options force you to either share secrets while alive or put them in a will that becomes a public document. Final Capsule is the third way: sealed, encrypted, opened only for the right person at the right time.
GhostMyData is a privacy protection platform that scans 1,500+ data broker sites to find your exposed personal information. We automatically submit legal CCPA and state privacy law deletion requests on your behalf, verify each removal, and continuously monitor for re-listings.
Key features: - 1,500+ data broker coverage (3.5x more than Incogni, 17x more than DeleteMe's auto-removal) - Legal CCPA deletion requests, not just opt-out forms - Automated re-removal when brokers re-list your data - Family plans protect up to 5 household members - Live broker compliance report showing which brokers actually delete - Free scan with 3 free trial removals โ no credit card required
Plans start at $9.99/month billed annually.

FinalCapsule's answer
Three reasons. Privacy: encryption happens before your data leaves the browser, so there is nothing readable to leak, sell or subpoena. Safety against mistakes: delivery requires multiple missed check-ins plus confirmation from your designated SafeGuards, not just one ignored email. And pricing: a one-time โฌ49 lifetime payment instead of a subscription that your estate would eventually stop paying, with a published sunset policy in case the service ever shuts down.
GhostMyData's answer:
More coverage (1,500+ brokers), lower price ($9.99/mo vs $14.98 for Incogni), free scan with 3 free trial removals (no credit card), family plans covering 5 members, and transparent compliance reporting. We also use dual search engines (Google + Brave) to find exposures competitors miss.
FinalCapsule's answer
The combination of true end-to-end encryption with human verification. Most dead man's switches are a simple timer: miss an email and your secrets are sent. Final Capsule adds a multi-phase process where trusted people you chose must confirm before anything is released, which protects against false triggers (a lost phone, a long hospital stay) while your content stays encrypted the whole time. We store only ciphertext and cannot read or recover anything ourselves.
GhostMyData's answer:
We cover 1,500+ data broker sites โ 3.5x more than Incogni and 17x more than DeleteMe's auto-removal. We send legally-enforceable CCPA deletion requests, not just opt-out forms. And we publish a live broker compliance report showing which brokers actually delete your data and which ignore requests.
FinalCapsule's answer
People who hold things others would need if they were gone: parents who want to leave letters for their children, self-custody crypto holders whose seed phrases would otherwise die with them, and anyone managing the family's passwords and accounts. More broadly, privacy-conscious people doing digital estate planning without wanting to hand secrets to a lawyer or write them in a public will.
GhostMyData's answer:
Privacy-conscious individuals and families who want their personal data removed from people-search sites and data brokers. Also businesses protecting employees from social engineering attacks that exploit exposed personal data.
FinalCapsule's answer
It started from a simple realization: if something happened to me, my family would be locked out of everything, and the letter that would have mattered most was never written. Existing tools either required sharing secrets while alive or relied on unencrypted documents that become public at probate. So I built the third option: a sealed, end-to-end encrypted capsule, opened only for the right person, only after robust verification. Founded in 2025 by an independent team, publicly launched in 2026, hosted in the EU.
GhostMyData's answer:
I discovered my full name, home address, phone numbers, and family members' details were publicly listed on hundreds of people-search sites โ available to anyone for under a dollar. After spending 40+ hours manually submitting opt-out forms, I realized the data just comes back. So I built GhostMyData to automate the entire process.
FinalCapsule's answer
Next.js and TypeScript, PostgreSQL, S3-compatible object storage, AES-256-GCM envelope encryption for all message content and attachments. Self-hosted on Switzerland infrastructure.
GhostMyData's answer:
Next.js, React, TypeScript, Prisma ORM, PostgreSQL, Vercel, Resend for transactional email, Amazon SES for broker CCPA emails, Google and Brave Search APIs for exposure detection.
GhostMyData's answer:
I built GhostMyData because I was tired of finding my personal information โ home address, phone numbers, family members โ plastered across dozens of data broker sites. After trying other services, I realized most only cover a fraction of brokers and charge premium prices for basic scans. GhostMyData scans 1,500+ data broker sites, sends legally-backed CCPA deletion requests on your behalf, and tracks every removal to completion. The automated removal pipeline handles everything from opt-out form submissions to verification that your data was actually taken down. We also offer family plans so you can protect your entire household under one subscription, and our daily privacy digest keeps you informed without email overload. The whole platform is designed around transparency โ you see exactly what was found, what's been removed, and what's still in progress.
