There is a great website (wikitree.com) that has a group dedicated to helping resolve NPEs all way back through your tree, as much as they can. Obviously the more recent, the more people tested, and the more accurate/available the public records are the easier it'll be, but you might want to enlist their help. Source: over 3 years ago

I am hoping if anyone can find any proof Jonathan Ferris' wife was Elizabeth Mead that they could show me. Many public family trees including wikitree.com (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ferris-1017) claim his wife was a Elizabeth Mead. He is one of the possibilities I am nulling through to be the father of Haviland Ferris born 1790s. If Jonathan Ferris' wife is not Elizabeth Mead I think it could of been somebody...
