FairChore is a free web app that splits household chores between family members or roommates, without a chart to maintain and without arguments about who does more.

Its distinctive feature is a zero-sum points system: when someone completes a chore they earn points and the affected members lose some, so the household total always adds up to zero. The leaderboard does not reward the most diligent member, it shows who owes the others, and it rebalances by itself as soon as that person pitches in.

Every chore is worth whatever the household decides it is worth, so a task nobody wants to do can be made to pay more until someone takes it. Affected members are chosen chore by chore, which means a six year old is not counted on cooking dinner but is counted on clearing the table.

Other features

  • Supervised accounts for children who have no email address
  • Scheduled and recurring chores, with email and push reminders
  • Monthly leaderboard and per-member history
  • Customisable categories and chore types, with the points the household chooses
  • 16 interface languages
  • Runs in the browser and installs on a phone home screen as a progressive web app

Free, with no advertising. An optional Premium plan adds multiple households, unlimited history and advanced statistics.

Analysis of CodeHerald

Overall verdict

  • CodeHerald appears to be a niche or lesser-known platform, and there is insufficient verified public information available to make a confident, evidence-based assessment of its quality, reliability, or reputation.

Why this product is good

  • Limited publicly available reviews, ratings, or independent coverage to verify claims
  • No substantial user feedback or track record found across common review platforms
  • Lack of transparency around company details, ownership, or business history makes due diligence difficult
  • Without verifiable information, potential risks (billing, service quality, support) cannot be ruled out

Recommended for

  • Users who first conduct thorough independent research, including checking domain age, business registration, and recent user reviews
  • Those comfortable testing new or unverified services with minimal financial or data risk
  • Not recommended for users seeking an established, well-reviewed solution without additional verification
