ExtraBar is a macOS productivity app that turns your menu bar into a customizable command center for quick actions.
You create action lists that live in your menu bar. Each action can be a deep link, an Apple Shortcut, or even trigger Keyboard Maestro or Raycast macros. Choose apps to open with, or open specific folders paths.
Built native for macOS. No permissions required. Compatible with macOS 12.4+, including macOS 26 (Tahoe).
Use cases vary by workflow. Developers use ExtraBar to jump directly to specific IDE projects, Designers use deep links to specific Figma files or Notion docs. Team leads create actions that open specific Slack channels or project dashboards. Power users use ExtraBar to gap the bridge between management and hundreds of automation created by tools like Raycast, BetterTouchTool or Keyboard Maestro.
You can create multiple action lists organized however you prefer โ by project, by app category, by client, or by context. Actions can be reordered, grouped, and customized. The app supports both inline mode (adds apps to the macOS menu bar) and floating bar mode (separate floating bar). Menu Mode allows users to have everything under a single icon for a cleaner workspace. Configurations can be exported and imported, making it easy to sync setups across machines or share workflows with teammates.
ExtraBar can stay hidden or visible, whatever works for you. Call it with an hotkey, or keep it handy as a floating bar or at the menu bar. Users with macOS 26 (Tahoe) can benefit from added functionality of holding Cmd and dragging away apps from the menu bar, and manage them through ExtraBar, with the custom actions they actually need.

ExtraBar lets you customize you customize your macOS menu bar, with your most common actions, on the apps you actually use.
Built-in menus delivered by developers are usually full of useless actions because they try to cover everything. ExtraBar replaces that with a focused and personalized menu. Utilizing Deep links, App Actions, Macros and everything in between. Open Figma to specific projects, Open IDEs to specific projects, jump to a specific WhatsApp conversation, join a Zoom with two clicks.

ExtraBar first and foremost respects your privacy. Unlike any other macOS menu bar out there - ExtraBar does NOT require Screen recording permissions OR Accessibility permissions.
ExtraBar is also the first of it's kind, there are currently no direct competitors yet.
The #1 user profile that should pick ExtraBar is macOS 26 (Tahoe) users with a cluttered menu bar, that want to replace their organizational menu bar apps, that aren't working anymore, after introducing Tahoe.

ExtraBar was inspired from ExtraDock - A macOS app that lets you create floating docks and place them anywhere on your screen.
While ExtraDock provides you with more docks and easy access to your apps, ExtraBar lets you jump into the depth of things using deep links, macros, shortcuts and more.
Joining a repeating daily zoom, that requires you to go into your Browser, open your calendar, click the links, join the meeting costs you time. A single deep link to this meeting solves it, now it only requires 2 clicks from anywhere.
Opening your Figma is great, but it gets you to the homepage. Now you have to search 70 different projects to find the right one. ExtraBar does that with a single deep link, no more looking for anything manually.
Managing Notion? I am jumping between 30 different Notion pages, and all of them can be accessed with the same hotkey, with simple and quick keyboard navigation, how? ExtraBar.
