Express is a practical fit for REST endpoints, webhooks, third-party integrations, and server APIs. But those endpoints often need the authenticated Meteor user, existing authorization rules, and access to private application data. Before accounts-express, bridging that boundary could mean custom middleware, manual token handling, or a parallel authentication model around Express. - Source: dev.to / 14 days ago
Backend: Node.js & Express for file handling and metadata extraction. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Casbin provides an external policy engine if your permission model grows complex enough that a centralized JS function becomes hard to maintain. Open Policy Agent serves the same purpose for multi-service architectures. Node.js and Express.js documentation cover the middleware pattern in detail. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Many REST frameworks also ship with limited security controls enabled by default. Express.js , a minimal web framework, does not include rate limiting or input validation out of the box and relies on middleware for these concerns. Django REST Framework includes throttling features, but they are not enabled by default. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Nearly every server-side web framework uses some version of MVC. Django calls it MTV (Model-Template-View), Rails follows classic MVC, and Express.js gives you the building blocks to implement your own version. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago

Does J count a "esoteric"? If so, I do directly write J code, interactively. It's often a sort of exploration, a dialogue with the interpreter. J's conciseness makes that quite pleasant. Source: over 2 years ago
Sure. Advent_of_Code (AoC) is a computer programming competition thatโs been running since 2015. Problems are released daily from 1 December for 24 days. Thatโs the Advent thing. Each registrant gets their own data and has to write a program that produces a matching solution unique to their data usually a single number. You get a star if you get the correct answer. There is a ranking based on how long from release... Source: over 3 years ago
I started learning APL in 1974 and J about twenty years later. I think youโll find J (https://jsoftware.com) will be easy to pickup. You have the APL idioms down pat. I have to relearn them as I donโt use either much these days. Source: over 4 years ago
I like J, from jsoftware.com. They came up with a genius way of representing all primitives with ascii characters combined with periods or colons (a couple of exceptions). If you download and install, go to the demos and labs to see 3D graphic implementations and all sorts of other examples of capabilities. Source: almost 5 years ago
