Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Evidlane and StackGo.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Evidlane's answer

  • Evidlane is currently onboarding its first cohort of food processors and co-packers under our 60-Day Design Partner Pilot program.
  • In accordance with our customer NDAs and privacy commitments, specific food manufacturing brands are kept confidential during active audit pilot deployments.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Evidlane's answer

Evidlane is engineered with a modern, enterprise-grade cloud stack: - Frontend & API: Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS - Database & ORM: PostgreSQL (Neon serverless), Prisma ORM - Authentication & Multi-Tenancy: Clerk (with row-level tenant isolation) - Encrypted Storage: Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible private encrypted object vault) - Scheduled Automation: Background reminder engines for 30/14/7-day document expiry loops

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Evidlane's answer

Legacy enterprise compliance suites (like TraceGains or heavy ERPs) cost $15,000–$40,000/year, require 8–24 weeks of consulting, and force suppliers into complex password-walled portals where submission rates drop.

Evidlane takes the opposite approach: - 10-minute self-serve onboarding via standard CSV Approved Supplier List (ASL) import. - Zero supplier onboarding resistance because vendors upload directly from mobile or desktop in under 60 seconds. - Transparent, low-risk pricing starting at $199/month with no multi-year lock-in.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Evidlane's answer

Evidlane is purpose-built for: - Quality Assurance (QA) Managers, Food Safety Directors, and PCQIs (Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals) at small-to-mid-sized food manufacturing plants. - Food ingredient processors, co-packers, and private label food brands managing between 30 and 500 active suppliers. - Food facilities complying with SQF Edition 9, BRCGS Issue 9, FSSC 22000, and FDA FSMA 204 requirements who currently track supplier documents in spreadsheets.

What's the story behind your product?

Evidlane's answer

After analyzing operational bottlenecks in food plants, we realized that while food safety regulations are legally non-negotiable, over 80% of facilities still manage supplier certificates, allergen statements, and COAs across broken Excel files and buried email threads.

When third-party auditors arrive, QA teams lose days scrambling to gather proof. Enterprise QMS software is too heavy and expensive for plant-floor realities. We created Evidlane as a focused, lightweight pipeline to do one thing exceptionally well: take food facilities from spreadsheet chaos to audit-ready evidence in minutes.

What makes your product unique?

Evidlane's answer

Evidlane is built with three strict architectural principles: 1. Zero-Login Vendor Access: External suppliers upload compliance documents via single-use, 32-byte cryptographic links without creating or maintaining portal accounts. 2. Decoupled QA Governance: Document health (missing, expiring, current, expired) is tracked automatically, but approval authority strictly remains an explicit human PCQI decision. 3. Immutable Audit Trails: Every upload, status change, review decision, and reminder is written to tamper-proof audit events with SHA-256 verification.
