  • Busloads of migrants dropped off at vice president’s DC home on Christmas Eve
At the national level that may be true but it does not seem to be that way at the state level. Many of the states listed on e-verify.gov's site are politcally red. Further digging showed that all nine states that require ALL businesses to use E-Verify are "red" states and many of those that have local (county/city) ordinances that require E-Verify are "red" states. • STEM OPT extension: what to do if employer has no E-Verify number?
In any case, can I just submit the employer name as it is listed on e-verify.gov since I don't have a number? I have worked for this company for 9 mo now, so I should be able to extend, no? Source: over 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: How do you handle organization verification?
I'm not sure on the details of how it's done ... But it certainly is done :) Honestly, the library/libraries used are kinda moot - those things change all the time (ie, it doesn't matter if it's OpenCV or something else) Most government-issued IDs are intentionally designed to be very hard to OCR (it's why they have barcodes/etc on them for automated scanning) - and any advances in image processing... - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

  • Help Finding Someone
Hello, I have been attempting to find my ex-partner's address for them to be served court summons related to order of protection, personal injury for physical assaults. They are an expert criminal in hiding their activities from the government and keeping off the grid -- drives a 2021 Mercedes SUV, but gets food stamps and has been evicted twice, most recently last month.
