What makes your product unique?

Findig.app's answer:

It's built by an actual Etsy seller for their own shop — not by a startup chasing a market. So it has all the things you'd need as a Seller: it tracks stock down to the exact colour and size, takes it off the moment something sells (so you never oversell), shows your real profit after every Etsy fee — not just revenue — and tells you what to make next based on real demand. All in one calm place, no spreadsheets.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Most Etsy inventory tools are either expensive, complicated to set up, or both. Findig is simple, affordable, and focused on Etsy, so there's no jargon and nothing to wrestle with — you connect your shop and it just works.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Findig.app's answer:

Its made for Etsy sellers, especially those, who find themselves being overwhelmed by keeping track of inventory and orders, those that want to know what they earned for each sale, and don't have the time to work on a spreadsheet every day.

What's the story behind your product?

Findig.app's answer:

I started a small Etsy shop and it was very overwhelming for me. I kept running low on stock without realising, oversold things, and had no real idea what I was earning after fees. And because I study Computer Science, I built a simple tool for my own shop. It grew — I added a production planner to tell me what to make next, and a statistics page showing real profit per sale and per product. It genuinely let me relax when I wasn't working, because I knew it was handled. Now I'm sharing it with other sellers.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Findig.app's answer:

Findig runs on a deliberately simple, well-proven stack: Node.js and Express on the back end, PostgreSQL for the database, with server-rendered Handlebars views. It's self-hosted here in Germany — no third-party cloud — inside a hardened, locked-down Docker container (read-only filesystem, runs as a non-root user). It talks to shops only through Etsy's official API; your Etsy access tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256, and every database backup is encrypted too. Boring, sturdy tech — chosen so your data stays private, safe, and entirely on infrastructure I control.
