What makes your product unique?

Deedly's answer:

Deedly writes the deed for one specific state instead of handing over a blank form to adapt. It knows Florida wants two subscribing witnesses on a quitclaim in addition to the notary, that a Texas transfer-on-death deed goes to the County Clerk with a 2 inch top margin and no transfer tax, and that a lady bird deed only exists in Florida, Texas, Michigan, Vermont and West Virginia. Those rules are applied while you answer plain-English questions about what you are trying to do, and the finished document is on screen to read before any payment is taken.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Deedly's answer:

Price and scope. A real estate attorney charges roughly $490 to $530 to draft the same statutory document, and the large form sites sell a generic template you still have to fit to your state and your county. Deedly is $39 for a quitclaim or gift deed and $69 for the probate-avoidance and warranty instruments, charged once, and that includes the vesting language for how you want to hold title, a notary block that matches your state, and recording instructions for the actual office you will file with. The finished deed is on screen before you pay, so nothing about the purchase is a guess.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Deedly's answer:

Homeowners doing one specific thing to the title of a property they already own: adding a spouse after a marriage, removing an ex after a divorce decree, moving a house into a living trust or an LLC, gifting property to a child, or naming who inherits it without probate. Most of them have never recorded a document before and have no reason to learn the vocabulary, which is why the interview opens by asking what outcome they want rather than which instrument they need. They are one-time buyers, so the product is priced as a single purchase.
