StriaStria's answer:
Proof. Every client approval, contract signature, and change order in Stria generates a tamper-evident, timestamped certificate โ a content hash you can verify years later. Other freelancer suites manage the happy path of client work; Stria is built for the moment that actually defines a freelance business: the disputed approval, the scope that quietly grew, the invoice the client suddenly questions. When a client says "that's not what we agreed," you have a verifiable record instead of an argument about memory.
Stria's answer:
Three reasons. First, the evidence trail: Bonsai, HoneyBook, and Dubsado treat agreements as form fields, Stria treats them as records, and that is a data-model decision competitors cannot retrofit. Second, payments run through your own Stripe account โ your money, your customer relationship, and everything stays with you if you leave, instead of a platform holding funds and history hostage. Third, fair terms on purpose: a free tier that occasional users never outgrow, easy cancellation, full data export, and deletion within 30 days of closing your account. No lock-in, no rent-seeking.
Stria's answer:
Freelancers and small studios whose business runs on client approval: designers, developers, photographers, videographers, writers, and consultants. Specifically the ones who have been burned โ the client who disputed scope after approving it, the "small tweak" that became three weeks of unpaid work, the invoice that was suddenly questioned. Stria is for people who deliver great work and want the business side to be as solid as the craft side.
Stria's answer:
A scope dispute ended my client work. A client and I remembered the same agreement differently, and neither of us could prove anything. I realized the most valuable artifact in client work is the agreement itself, and every tool I had ever used treated it as disposable. So I stopped building things for clients and built the tool I had needed: a suite where the agreement is the foundation and everything else โ proposals, contracts, deliverables, invoices โ hangs off it. Stria exists so that nobody else has to lose a client over a memory.
Stria's answer:
A React and TypeScript frontend, Supabase (Postgres with row-level security) as the backend, Stripe Connect for payments, and a Figma plugin for pushing design frames straight into client review. Tamper-evident records are generated with content hashing at signing time. Data is hosted in Canada/USA.
Stria's answer:
We launched commercially this month, so our earliest customers are freelancers and small studios โ designers, developers, and photographers running their client work through Stria right now. If you become one of them, you will be a founding customer with pricing grandfathered for life.
