What's the story behind your product?

Easy Image to Text's answer

I noticed a visible demand for a simple and reliable tool to get tabular data out of a PDF or image to a spreadsheet for analysis. Millions of professionals have this requirement - they deal with bank statements, invoices, reports, etc. This includes Bookkeepers, Small business owners, Auditors, Financial Analysts, etc. They spend a signigicant time and energe on this conversion. Surprisingly even today, people do this conversion by typing manually or doing copy-paste. Some are aware of standalone converters which also requires switching between apps, and some even break the formatting which is realized only then the CSV or XLSX is imported in the spreadsheet. I felt these solutions were not ideal, and that with the help of AI, we can extract tabular data from PDF or image without even requiring the user to leave their spreadsheet, and I started tinkering with Google Apps Script, and with the help of AI and Optical Character Recognition, came up with this tool that works as a sidebar directly inside Google Sheets and lets users upload their PDF or Image, and just click "Extract Data" button, and the tabular data will be written on their active spreadsheet within a minute.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Easy Image to Text's answer

Apps Script (Google), Express.js for backend, AI API
