Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

E-learning Website 5 features
Compétences.com 5 features
  • Clean and Modern Layout
The design features a clean, modern aesthetic with generous white space that makes the content easy to scan and digest. The visual hierarchy is well-structured, guiding the user's eye naturally through the page.
  • Strong Visual Appeal
The use of vibrant colors, particularly the green/teal accent color combined with soft illustrations, creates an engaging and visually appealing interface that feels fresh and inviting for learners.
  • Clear Call-to-Action
The primary call-to-action buttons are prominently placed and use contrasting colors to stand out, making it easy for users to understand the next steps and encouraging conversions.
  • Effective Use of Illustrations
The hero section features a well-crafted illustration that communicates the e-learning concept effectively, adding personality to the design and helping users immediately understand the platform's purpose.
  • Well-Organized Content Sections
The page is broken into distinct sections such as features, course categories, and testimonials, making it easy for users to find relevant information and understand the platform's offerings at a glance.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Accessibility Considerations
The design does not appear to account strongly for accessibility standards. Some text may lack sufficient contrast against backgrounds, and there is no visible indication of considerations for users with disabilities.
  • Generic Course Category Presentation
The course categories section, while clean, uses a fairly generic card-based layout that doesn't differentiate the platform from countless other e-learning websites, missing an opportunity to stand out.
  • Lack of Search Functionality Visibility
For an e-learning platform with potentially hundreds of courses, the search functionality is not prominently featured in the design, which could make it harder for users to quickly find specific courses they're looking for.
  • Information Overload on Single Page
The landing page tries to showcase many aspects of the platform at once—features, categories, testimonials, stats—which may overwhelm first-time visitors and dilute the core message of the platform.
  • Mobile Responsiveness Unclear
The design is presented only in a desktop viewport, leaving questions about how the complex layout, illustrations, and multi-column sections would adapt to smaller mobile and tablet screens without usability issues.
  • Dynamic Skill Matrix
Map, track, and update team expertise and technical proficiencies without administrative overhead.
  • Skill-Capacity Tension Analysis
Real-time dashboard comparing project talent needs against team availability by skill level to spot staffing gaps instantly.
  • Real-Time Staffing Match
Instantly find available internal talent based on precise skill levels, current allocation, and upcoming timelines.
  • Bench Time Optimization
Predict workforce availability to reduce unbillable hours and streamline cross-team allocation.
  • Spreadsheet Replacement
Eliminate manual Excel tracking with a automated, single source of truth for team capacity.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing E-learning Website and Compétences.com.

What makes your product unique?

Compétences.com's answer:

Unlike general resource management tools or static HR databases, Competences.com connects real-time capacity planning directly with fine-grained skill levels. Instead of just tracking who is busy, it analyzes exact skill availability against project requirements—instantly surfacing staffing tensions and bottleneck risks before they impact delivery. It replaces manual Excel sheets with a lightweight, zero-overhead workflow built specifically for multi-skilled IT and project teams.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Compétences.com's answer:

Dual Skill-Capacity Intelligence: Most resource management tools (like Float or Resource Guru) only track who is available and when. Compétences.com bridges real-time workload capacity with fine-grained skill levels, showing if you have the right level of expertise available—not just an open calendar slot.

Instant Tension & Bottleneck Detection: The Skill-Capacity Tension Analysis module automatically compares project skill requirements against team capacity, alerting managers to resource gaps and expertise shortages before they delay project delivery.

Designed to Kill Excel Friction: Built specifically as an alternative to fragile, manual Excel matrices, it eliminates spreadsheet maintenance headaches without forcing teams into overly complex, administrative HR software.

Streamlined Staffing Decisions: Delivery leads can match internal talent to multi-skilled project demands in seconds, reducing unbillable bench time and balancing team workload effectively.

Transparent & Predictable Pricing: At a simple €5 per managed employee/month, it provides enterprise-grade capacity insight without heavy upfront implementation costs or hidden tier limits.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Compétences.com's answer:

IT Delivery Managers & Project Leads: Managing multi-skilled technical teams and struggling to balance project requirements with real-time staff availability.

Resource & Operations Managers: In IT Services (ESNs), digital agencies, and software engineering teams who need to optimize billable rates and eliminate bench time.

Mid-Sized Enterprise Tech Leaders: Who have outgrown static Excel matrices for team staffing but find enterprise HR platforms too rigid, complex, and administrative.

What's the story behind your product?

Compétences.com's answer:

Compétences.com was born directly out of 20 years of real-world frustration in IT delivery and tech team management. As IT delivery leads and project managers, we spent years trapped in "Excel hell", constantly maintaining complex, static spreadsheets to track who could do what, at what skill level, and when they were actually available. Every time a new project landed or a schedule shifted, the spreadsheets broke, skill data became outdated, and managers were left guessing. We looked at existing solutions on the market and found a major gap: traditional resource management tools only tracked schedule availability (calendars), while enterprise HR platforms were far too heavy, administrative, and disconnected from daily project delivery.None of them solved the core operational question: "Do we have the specific level of technical expertise available to deliver this project next month?".

So, we built Compétences.com, a lightweight, real-time SaaS platform designed specifically to bridge skill mapping with capacity planning. It replaces brittle Excel matrices with an automated, single source of truth that helps tech leaders, digital agencies, and IT service providers optimize staffing, eliminate bench time, and protect team workload balance without administrative friction.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Compétences.com's answer:

Frontend: Angular, TypeScript Backend: .NET / C# Database: PostgreSQL AI Engine: Google Gemini AI Hosting & Infrastructure: Hostinger (Hosted in France / EU)

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Compétences.com's answer:

Competences.com is currently in its launch phase, working closely with early-adopter IT service providers (ESNs), digital agencies, and tech delivery teams to refine its core platform.
