CodeDuel is a coding platform where Developers can keep their skills sharp by learning from AI while also competing against it to keep their skills sharp. In the era where Developers are using Claude and Codex for everything we can feel like our skills are slipping away and at times we can feel uncertain, that is why I created CodeDuel so that Developers can take back those skills and even build more.

CodeDuel is the only coding practice platform where you compete directly against Claude AI as your opponent. Every other platform measures you against a timer or a human leaderboard. CodeDuel puts you head-to-head against AI, same problem, same time, one winner.
You are scored on three dimensions simultaneously: correctness, code quality, and speed. After every duel Claude explains its approach and gives specific feedback on where your solution could improve. This turns every loss into a concrete learning opportunity rather than just a pass or fail result.
The ELO rating system tracks your performance against AI over time giving you a single honest number that shows where your skills actually stand. Your dashboard identifies your weakest problem categories automatically and surfaces practice problems to close the gap.
CodeDuel also includes six practice modes: Sandbox, Step by Step, Daily Drills, Guided Practice, Flashcard, and Code Review. Giving developers a complete skill development platform beyond just competitive dueling.
DuelAI.dev's answer
LeetCode, HackerRank, and Codewars all measure you against a timer or a leaderboard of other humans. They are primarily designed for interview preparation. CodeDuel is designed for working developers who want to maintain and improve their raw coding skills in the age of AI tools.
Three key reasons to choose CodeDuel:
First, the feedback is specific and educational. When you lose to Claude you see exactly how its solution compared to yours, line by line, complexity by complexity. You learn something concrete from every duel rather than just seeing a wrong answer notification.
Second, the ELO system creates long term motivation. Your rating is a number you care about. It goes up when you win and down when you lose. Recovering lost ELO brings you back in a way that a static leaderboard never does.
Third, the practice modes fill the gap between dueling sessions. Sandbox mode lets you experiment freely. Step by Step mode turns Claude into a tutor. Code Review mode gives you feedback on any solution you write. No other coding platform offers this breadth alongside a competitive AI opponent.

CodeDuel's primary audience is working software developers who use AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude daily and want to ensure their raw problem-solving skills are staying sharp.
These are developers who ship code professionally but feel the quiet anxiety that AI assistance may be slowly replacing the mental muscles that coding without help requires. They want an honest benchmark, not just a timer but a direct comparison against the AI they use every day.
A secondary audience is computer science students and recent graduates preparing for technical interviews who want a more engaging and educational practice experience than traditional timer-based platforms. Competing against AI and learning from its explanations after every duel accelerates interview preparation more effectively than grinding problems alone.
CodeDuel supports Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, C, C#, Rust, and Go. Covering the full range of languages used across both professional development and technical interviews.
DuelAI.dev's answer
CodeDuel was built by Nahom Ashagrea, a solo developer and Computational AI graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology.
The idea came from a personal anxiety that most developers using AI tools today quietly share. After relying heavily on GitHub Copilot and Claude to ship faster, the founder noticed that raw problem-solving felt slower. Whiteboard problems felt harder. The instinct to reach for AI before working through a problem independently had gotten stronger.
Looking for a tool that could honestly answer whether those skills were slipping and finding nothing, the decision was made to build one.
CodeDuel launched in August 2026 as a platform where developers compete head-to-head against Claude AI on real coding problems. The core belief behind the product is simple: the best way to understand your relationship with AI tools is to compete against one directly. Your ELO rating after twenty duels is a more honest answer than any self-assessment could be.
CodeDuel is the third independent SaaS product launched by the same founder in 2026, alongside LockedIn (deeplockin.com) and InfoDiet (getinfodiet.app).

LeetCode is the best platform to help people practice solving coding problems and prepare for technical interviews. The main users are software engineers. LeetCode has over 1,900 questions covering many different programming concepts.
Based on our record, LeetCode seems to be more popular. It has been mentiond 544 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
