Dubly.AI is for teams who refuse to let their best content sound translated. Upload a video, choose a language, and it comes back in the original speaker's own voice — cloned, not replaced — with mouth movement matched frame by frame. It plays like the speaker recorded it in that language themselves. Minutes instead of weeks, no studio, no voice actor, no reshoot.

Lip sync usually falls apart on side angles, partial face occlusion and dynamic close-ups. The in-house Lip Sync 2.0 model is built for exactly those shots and handles video up to 4K. A brand glossary holds product names and technical terms to the wording you define, so terminology survives translation intact.

100+ source languages, 40+ target languages. And it clears European procurement without a detour: servers in Germany, no AI training on customer data, DPA available, German-speaking support. BMW, RATIONAL, Axel Springer, HAVAS and Liebscher & Bracht use it. From €69 per month on an annual plan, free trial available.

s3-lambda features and specs

  • Batch processing of S3 objects
s3-lambda provides a straightforward way to perform batch operations on large numbers of S3 objects, enabling map, filter, and reduce-style processing over entire S3 buckets or prefixes without writing boilerplate code.
  • Familiar functional API
The library uses a functional programming paradigm with operations like map, filter, and reduce, making it intuitive for JavaScript developers to process S3 objects using patterns they already know.
  • Built-in concurrency control
s3-lambda handles parallel processing of S3 objects with configurable concurrency, allowing users to control how many operations run simultaneously and avoid overwhelming AWS resources or hitting rate limits.
  • Context-aware operations
The library provides a context object within each operation that includes useful metadata about the current object being processed, simplifying access to S3 object properties during transformations.
  • Easy integration with Lambda
Designed to work seamlessly within AWS Lambda functions, making it straightforward to set up event-driven, serverless pipelines for processing large volumes of S3 data without managing infrastructure.

Possible disadvantages of s3-lambda

  • Unmaintained project
The repository appears to be no longer actively maintained, with limited recent commits and unresolved issues, which raises concerns about long-term reliability, security patches, and compatibility with newer AWS SDK versions.
  • Limited documentation
The project's documentation is relatively sparse, lacking comprehensive examples, edge case handling guidance, and detailed API references, which can make it challenging for new users to adopt effectively.
  • AWS SDK version dependency
The library depends on an older version of the AWS SDK for JavaScript, which may conflict with projects using the newer AWS SDK v3 and could miss out on performance improvements and features in updated SDKs.
  • Limited error handling flexibility
The built-in error handling mechanisms are relatively basic, and handling partial failures or implementing sophisticated retry logic for individual object operations requires additional custom code from the developer.
  • Narrow scope of functionality
The library is tightly focused on S3 object processing and does not integrate with other AWS services or provide utilities beyond basic map/filter/reduce operations, limiting its usefulness in more complex data pipeline scenarios.

Analysis of s3-lambda

Overall verdict

  • s3-lambda is a useful Node.js library for performing operations like map, reduce, and filter directly on S3 objects using Lambda, making it good for developers who need efficient, serverless-based batch processing of S3 data without managing infrastructure. It is well suited for smaller to medium projects but may not be actively maintained for enterprise-scale needs.

Why this product is good

  • Simplifies common S3 batch operations (map, filter, reduce) with a clean, functional API
  • Leverages AWS Lambda for scalable, serverless parallel processing of S3 objects
  • Reduces boilerplate code for iterating over and transforming large numbers of S3 objects
  • Open-source and free to use, allowing customization for specific workflows
  • Integrates well with existing AWS infrastructure and Node.js applications

Recommended for

  • Developers building serverless data pipelines on AWS
  • Teams needing to process or transform large sets of S3 objects without provisioning servers
  • Node.js developers looking for a functional programming approach to S3 operations
  • Projects with batch processing needs that fit within Lambda's execution limits

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Dubly.AI and s3-lambda.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Dubly.AI's answer

  • BMW
  • RATIONAL
  • Axel Springer
  • HAVAS
  • Liebscher & Bracht
  • 7hauben

What makes your product unique?

Dubly.AI's answer

Two things. First, the speaker keeps their own voice — Dubly.AI clones it rather than replacing it with a stock narrator, so a video in Spanish still sounds like the person who recorded it in English.

Second, the lip sync is built for difficult footage. Dubbing generally holds up on a centred, unobstructed talking head and falls apart on side angles, partially hidden faces and fast close-ups. Our in-house Lip Sync 2.0 model is developed specifically for those shots, at resolutions up to 4K.

Alongside that, Dubly.AI is built to clear European procurement without a detour: servers in Germany, no AI training on customer data, a DPA on request, and German-speaking support.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Dubly.AI's answer

Three concrete reasons rather than a general claim.

Difficult footage. Side angles, partial face occlusion and dynamic close-ups are where lip sync usually breaks down. Lip Sync 2.0 is built for exactly those shots, and handles video up to 4K.

Terminology control. A brand glossary holds product names and technical vocabulary to the spelling you define, so they survive translation intact rather than being paraphrased differently in every language.

European compliance. Hosting in Germany, no customer data used to train models, a DPA available, and support in German. For buyers with data protection requirements, that removes an entire round of questions.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Dubly.AI's answer

Organisations that already produce video and need it in more than one language. In practice: marketing teams localising campaign and product video, HR and L&D teams rolling out training across countries, e-learning and course providers, localization agencies working on behalf of clients, and creators expanding a channel into new language markets.

Company size ranges from individual creators to large enterprises. Customers include BMW, RATIONAL, Axel Springer, HAVAS, Liebscher & Bracht and 7hauben. European buyers with data protection or procurement requirements are a particular fit.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Dubly.AI's answer

Dubly.AI is a web application hosted in Germany. Lip sync is handled by our own model, Lip Sync 2.0, developed specifically for footage where mouth movement is hard to match — side angles, partial occlusion and close-ups. Video is supported up to 4K, with 100+ source languages and 40+ target languages.
