Dreamtime is a personalised bedtime story app for families. Each evening, the app generates a fresh, age-appropriate story with hand-styled watercolour illustrations and delivers it automatically to the household - there is nothing to prompt or generate manually.

Parents choose the themes and values they want their child to encounter, such as kindness, courage, honesty, and patience, and a recurring cast of characters builds an evolving world the child grows attached to over time. Stories are calibrated to each child's age and reading comprehension level, and improve as parents rate them.

Dreamtime is built around a deliberate creative choice: unlike most AI story tools, it does not make the child the protagonist of every story. The team found this pattern weakens narrative quality and quickly loses its appeal in repeated use. Instead, Dreamtime focuses on the craft of the story itself, treating bedtime as a shared reading experience between parent and child - the parent reads aloud, the child listens.
