Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

DPP Hero is built with Next.js (App Router) and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS, backed by Supabase (PostgreSQL), and deployed on Vercel. Passport data follows the DIN SPEC 99100 / BatteryPassDataModel schemas and is available through a REST API with JSON and PDF export and GS1 Digital Link QR generation.

What makes your product unique?

DPP Hero is a self-service battery passport platform built specifically on DIN SPEC 99100, the German pre-standard for the EU Battery Regulation 2027. Instead of a generic PIM or traceability tool, it guides you step by step through all seven battery-passport sections – identification, materials, carbon footprint, supply-chain due diligence, circularity, performance and labeling. For every item it generates a hosted public product page and a GS1 Digital Link QR code (GTIN + serial), and lets you export the data as standards-based JSON and PDF. No consulting project and no setup fee: you create, manage and export passports yourself.

Data is processed GDPR-compliant on EU infrastructure, and DPP Hero is a GS1 Germany Solution Partner.

This ranges from small and mid-sized companies that want a simple self-service tool to larger operators that automate passport creation through the REST API.

What's the story behind your product?

DPP Hero's answer

DPP Hero was created to make the upcoming EU digital battery passport practical for companies that do not have a dedicated compliance team or the budget for a consulting project. Rather than waiting for the final delegated acts, we built the tool on the DIN SPEC 99100 pre-standard so manufacturers can start structuring and managing their battery data now and export it in standard formats once the regulation applies.
