Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing DocuGrip and DocuSign.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

DocuGrip's answer

A modern TypeScript and React web stack served from a global edge network, with Stripe for payments and integrations for Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox.

What makes your product unique?

DocuGrip's answer

Files you process with DocuGrip's tools never leave your device, there is no watermark on any plan, and every tool has a free daily allowance with no card. You get 134 PDF tools, a full PDF editor and e-signature requests in one tab, including compression to an exact file size for upload portals.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

DocuGrip's answer

Most PDF sites upload your file, cap free use at one or two tasks a day, and add a watermark or a queue. DocuGrip keeps the file on your device, gives generous free daily use, never watermarks, and costs less when you need more: Pro is $11/month, a day pass is $3 and a lifetime license is $149.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

DocuGrip's answer

Small businesses, law and immigration firms, HR and accounting teams, and individuals handling confidential paperwork such as contracts, tax forms and visa applications, anyone who needs reliable PDF tools without uploading sensitive files.

What's the story behind your product?

DocuGrip's answer

DocuGrip was built by a solo founder who got tired of the same three things on PDF websites: a watermark on the result, a queue before the download, and a "free trial" that quietly turned into a charge. DocuGrip is the opposite, built in 2026 by Simulator Arts LLC.
