In the new era of digital transformation, the ability to sign various documents electronically has become a cornerstone of business efficiency & success. Open source document signing platforms like OpenSignโข, represents a significant shift in this landscape. Docusign has a .com address, def not a .click address. This is 100% fishing. A very easy way to tell is to hover over any url and see what the address is. You can also try to do a reply, or if your savvy enough look into the routing info of the email. Did it com from the companies domain? I.e. docusign.com, fedex.com, ups.com anything like that. If it didn't, its fake. Source: over 3 years ago
No, it's definitely not dumb. Great point, I imagine there would have to be some legal contract, like docusign.com that can be signed electronically with a deposit. If anyone has anything to input on this, it would be great help. Source: almost 4 years ago
Long story short, I'm working on opening my first business. My partner and I signed a lease with one place where our store would be located. The lease was signed thru docusign.com and it was a legit lease with all the terms. We were waiting for the landlord to come back to us as we needed some documentation for the county, which didn't happen for a week, then another one, we only had contact with him thru real... I'm curious why you would be receiving 100+ phishing/malware/spam if you whitelisted Docusign... Unless all that phishing spam was coming from @ docusign.com - just curious. Source: over 4 years ago
The language used makes me think it's a scam using the real docusign site and pretending to be Intel. Things like signing off as "Thank You, Intel Legal Contracts" with no reference to why this is being sent rings alarm bells, but aside from using the domain docusign.net and docusign.com (seriously, why do companies persist in using multiple domains and making themselves look like scammers) it looks as though it... Try going to docusign.com and try looking up the docusign that way using the same email you signed up with. Source: over 5 years ago
Any of you know if docusign.com and docusign.net are in association with one another? This morning I got an email (dse_na4@docusign.net) and in the email there are multiple links including one referred to as an "alternate signing method" and that link is "http://docusign.com/". The support center link at the bottom is also docusign.com. The email aslo has a security code to use if choosing the alternate method. Source: over 5 years ago
As a prominent player in the digital document management and eSignature domains, DocuSign is widely recognized for its robust suite of tools designed to streamline agreement workflows, automate document processes, and manage contracts efficiently. Based on recent product mentions, public perception of DocuSign can be gleaned through both its distinctive strengths and categorical challenges.
DocuSign is hailed as a pioneer in the e-signature landscape and continues to be a leading name in industry-specific applications, particularly in healthcare and legal environments requiring heightened security for document management. Its robust platform offers powerful features including advanced routing, workflow automation, and seamless integration with prevalent business applications, making it a formidable PandaDoc alternative.
The product's AI-enhanced capabilities offer users sophistication in handling agreement summaries, contract reviews, and risk identification. This AI feature sets DocuSign apart as an innovator aiming to harness the power of machine learning for improved contract lifecycle management (CLM).
Moreover, DocuSign's presence among top-tier organizations including Fortune 500 companies, and government agencies underscores its credibility and reliability in handling sensitive transactions and maintaining compliance with strict security protocols like the FedRAMP Moderate Impact Level.
For small businesses, DocuSign provides affordable contract management solutions along with a self-service portal to keep all parties informed throughout contractual negotiations, thereby enhancing its appeal to enterprises with contract-heavy workflows.
Despite its strong market position, there are noted limitations to DocuSign that potential users should consider. One highlighted concern is its non-flexible subscription service that places caps on the number of envelope transactions per account, which some users find restrictive.
Furthermore, in a detailed comparison with competitors like PandaDoc, DocuSign's product offering appears less comprehensive in areas like document creation and storage capabilities. PandaDoc, for instance, is noted for more robust document management functionalities along with unlimited storage options.
The platform also faces challenges from open-source document signing solutions which are perceived to offer greater transparency and customization, presenting an attractive alternative for organizations with specific needs for digital authentication that differ from proprietary mechanisms.
Another frequent mention revolves around potential security issues. Instances of phishing scams using DocuSign's domain have been reported loosely affecting user trust in its email communications. Though many are scams unrelated to DocuSign itself, it does point to the necessity for continuous educational efforts about safe document handling practices.
In conclusion, DocuSign remains a formidable choice in the eSignature and document management market, bolstered by innovative features and a strong track record with high-profile clientele. Its user interface, advanced options, and integration capabilities make it a go-to solution for many large-scale enterprises. Nonetheless, the issue of subscription limits and targeted phishing challenges indicate areas where improvement could enhance its value proposition. Interested users should weigh these factors carefully against their specific needs to determine if DocuSign is the optimal fit for their organizational requirements.
