At present, thereโs no better platform for bringing together a global audience with shared interests. However, server admins must invest significant time in moderation to balance community engagement. While itโs important to remove problematic members, itโs equally crucial to allow lively discussions without excessive moderation. Additionally, Discordโs support for communities dedicated to serving their users could be improved to better support these efforts.
Currently there is no better platform to gather a worldwide audience of people that share a common interest. Server admins just need to invest a lot of time to ensure the community receives the right amount of moderation. Bad apples need to go while folks are still allowed to engage in a spirited conversation that isnโt stifled by over-moderation. Discord support itself could be better in assisting communities that exist to serve their user base in good faith.
There used to be bugs every update or so, but they've managed it well. I like chatting with my friends, having a server as my personal calender and task list as well as playing games.

In fact, as of today, Anthropic officially shipped this as Claude Code Channels โ a plugin-based feature that lets you push messages from Telegram or Discord into a running Claude Code session on your machine. Your session processes the request with full filesystem, MCP, and git access, then replies through the same chat. It's built on MCP, which means it slots into the existing plugin ecosystem cleanly. I ran my... - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
I believe there is a limit to how much you could learn by yourself, and this is why I recommend taking advantage of public events such as webinars (where you can connect from anywhere), community meetups (such as meetup.com, or Eventbrite), community platforms (such as Slack or Discord), and finally industry conferences (in almost any topic you could think of). If you are attending a conference, here are some... - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago

Enable End Task in Taskbar by Right-click : When we are using applications on Windows 11, when our work is done, we close the application by clicking on the Close Button (X) in the Top bar of the application. We can also close an application using the ALT + F4 key combination. Either way, the system will ensure the application is shut down properly, saving the data before exiting. Certain Applications, like... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
Setup time matters too. The delta between Runpod and bare-metal providers like Lambda Labs is large. Reaching an equivalent setup on a bare VM requires provisioning the instance, configuring the OS and CUDA drivers, installing Docker, setting up your orchestration layer (Kubernetes or Slurm), deploying your inference container, configuring autoscaling rules, and wiring up your load balancer. Thatโs a realistic... - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
Let's do the math for a representative setup: GPT-OSS-120B via Together.ai ($0.15/$0.60) vs self-hosting on H100s from Lambda Labs at $2.99/hr ($2,183/mo). A single H100 running a 70B model produces roughly 50 tokens/second on average, which works out to about 130M tokens per month. - Source: dev.to / 6 months ago

Another option is to pay for AWS server with a beefy GPU and enough RAM. It's not too cheap, but isn't expensive either if you aren't planning to run it 24/7. Or get a GPU cluster from a company that offers stuff for ML specifically, it might be easier to set up compared to AWS and in some cases cheaper. Like, for example, lambdalabs that offers H100 gpu for 2 bucks per hour. Source: about 3 years ago
I used some of the cloud GPUs on Vast.ai, but I also tried Lambda Labs, and these days I have my own docker container setup which can be deployed to a VM on Google Cloud and used more programatically. Source: over 3 years ago
