At present, thereโ€™s no better platform for bringing together a global audience with shared interests. However, server admins must invest significant time in moderation to balance community engagement. While itโ€™s important to remove problematic members, itโ€™s equally crucial to allow lively discussions without excessive moderation. Additionally, Discordโ€™s support for communities dedicated to serving their users could be improved to better support these efforts.

  2. Great way to gather communities

Currently there is no better platform to gather a worldwide audience of people that share a common interest. Server admins just need to invest a lot of time to ensure the community receives the right amount of moderation. Bad apples need to go while folks are still allowed to engage in a spirited conversation that isnโ€™t stifled by over-moderation. Discord support itself could be better in assisting communities that exist to serve their user base in good faith.

AppWrite Reviews

  1. Appwrite is awesome, free and open-source!

I've use it instead of Firebase on a 15$ DigitalOcean droplet and saved around ~$150 a month. Managing my own infra does take some extra time, but definitely worth it. The APIs and SDK are also surprisingly much easier to consume than Firebase. Waiting for the cloud version.
