What's the story behind your product?

directree's answer

I run several software products and kept running into the same frustration: every time I tried to get one of them listed and discovered, I couldn't quite trust the directories I was using. It was hard to tell a verified fact from marketing copy, and new or niche products barely got seen. I also noticed the same problem as a buyer. So I built the directory I wanted to exist - one that's honest about what it knows and how it knows it. It's also built for the shift happening right now, where more and more people find software by asking AI rather than scrolling a list.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Next.js, Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage), Vercel (EU region), Stripe. SEO and GEO tooling built on DataForSEO, Google Search Console API, Google Indexing API, and IndexNow.

What makes your product unique?

directree's answer

Every listing is upfront about how it knows what it claims. Verified facts look different from AI-inferred summaries, which look different again from something the real founder has come in and corrected. You always know which is which. There are no invented numeric scores - we use honest qualitative signals instead. And creating a listing isn't the same as owning it: anyone can submit a tool, but only someone who verifies control of the domain can edit it.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

If you're a founder: you get a real, structured listing in about 30 seconds, a do-follow backlink when you claim it, and a directory where your listing can't be outranked by a competitor's ad spend. If you're a buyer: you get facts you can trace - not a black-box score. And because the listings are real and structured, they're also built to be cited by AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, not just Google.

Two sides. Founders, indie hackers, and SaaS makers who want honest distribution and a do-follow backlink for their product. And buyers, developers, and marketers who are researching software and want listings they can actually trust - where every fact is clearly labelled by how we know it.
