Another interesting point: I copied both my answer and the suggested answer into diffchecker.com, and it said they were the same. Source: almost 3 years ago
Never knew diffchecker.com was a thing. Thank you so much for making me aware of it <3. Source: about 3 years ago
In what way did you show the file comparison? Did you use a diff like diffchecker.com ? If someone can see for themselves that every bit of data between two files is exactly the same, and still thinks they are different, IDK how you could get past that. x == x is pretty fundamental. How do I find the actual difference between two strings that appear equal to the naked eye? I used multiple tools and some show no differences, but some show differences. I got diffs on diffchecker.com, but it just shows me that they are different, but not how they differ. Is there a better tool for this? Source: over 3 years ago
I am wondering if there's something that allows you to easily display differences between two json like on diffchecker.com. Is there a library that allows you to easily do that? Source: almost 4 years ago
You should definitely check out Tropy: https://tropy.org/ It's open-source, so no worries about a company shutting it down, and it handles a lot of the stuff you're asking for. Open and future-proof: Metadata is stored in JSON-LD, so even if Tropy disappears, your data isnโt locked up. It doesnโt... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

Now it just needs an EPUB reader to replace Calibre, then it'd just be the perfect all-in-one personal library. For now I'm using... - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
I'm personally a big fan of digitizing as you go, since that is ultimately what is going to make the images the most accessible for you and your family. Even if you aren't going to make high resolution scans, a cell phone image of the photo provides a great opportunity to compile notes and related resources in a more accessible digital format. A resource I can highly recommend is called Tropy (https://tropy.org/),... Source: over 3 years ago
One idea to store pictures of an analog Zettelkasten: Tropy - it's a side project to Zotero. Https://tropy.org/. Source: over 3 years ago
So if you like an image, save it somewhere together with the prompt. I'm using Lightroom. Tropy is a free option that should be good too. Source: over 3 years ago
