Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing DeveloperTools.Tech and Marchh.app.

What makes your product unique?

Marchh.app's answer:

Marchh turns real-world walking and running into virtual territory on a shared map. Instead of only recording distance, pace, and routes, qualifying movement can leave a persistent visible mark on the map. The core experience combines GPS activity tracking, exploration, competition, and territory ownership through a simple loop: Move → Close → Claim.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Marchh.app's answer:

Marchh is designed for people who want movement to feel more like exploration and a game rather than only fitness logging. Traditional fitness apps are excellent for recording workouts and performance. Marchh adds a different layer: eligible walking and running routes can create virtual territory and change a shared map. Users should choose Marchh when territory, exploration, and location-based competition are more motivating to them than traditional workout tracking alone.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Marchh.app's answer:

Marchh is designed for adults aged 18 and older who enjoy walking, running, fitness, city exploration, maps, and location-based games. It is especially suited to people who want extra motivation to move, explore new areas, and compete or participate socially through virtual territory.

What's the story behind your product?

Marchh.app's answer:

Marchh began with a simple observation: most fitness apps are very good at recording where you went, but once the activity ends, the world itself looks the same. The idea behind Marchh was to make movement leave a visible consequence. By turning eligible closed walking and running routes into virtual territory, Marchh makes the map itself part of the experience. The goal is to make everyday movement feel more engaging, exploratory, and meaningful.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Marchh.app's answer:

Marchh is built with a modern web and backend stack including React, Node.js, and Supabase. The product also uses advanced mapping capabilities for GPS-based route visualization, territory creation, and shared map interactions, along with smooth motion and interface animations to deliver a polished, modern user experience across the product.
