Cryptomiso features and specs

  • Developer Activity Tracking
Cryptomiso provides a clear overview of developer activity for various cryptocurrency projects by analyzing the number of commits on GitHub. This allows users to assess which projects have active development.
  • Transparency
By offering an open view into code commits, Cryptomiso increases transparency in the crypto development ecosystem, making it easier for investors and enthusiasts to gauge a project's progress.
  • User-Friendly Interface
The platform provides an easy-to-navigate interface which displays the data in a straightforward manner, simplifying the user experience.
  • Data Aggregation
Cryptomiso aggregates data from multiple repositories and offers consolidated information, saving time for users who would otherwise have to manually check each project's GitHub.

Possible disadvantages of Cryptomiso

  • Limited Scope
Cryptomiso only tracks GitHub commits, which means it may not capture all development activities, such as those on other platforms like GitLab or Bitbucket, or internal development not publicly shared.
  • Commits Quantity vs Quality
The platform focuses on the number of commits, which is not always a valid indicator of project quality or progress, as smaller projects or efficient coding can result in fewer commits.
  • Dependence on GitHub Data
Cryptomiso's accuracy relies heavily on the availability and accuracy of GitHub data. Any discrepancies or private repositories may result in incomplete analysis.
  • Focus on Technical Aspects
While Cryptomiso provides insights into development activity, it does not account for other factors important for investment decisions, such as market demand, financial health, or community support.

  • Visual Reporting and Dashboards
Aha! Develop offers robust, customizable reporting features including burndown charts, velocity reports, and dashboards that help teams track progress and identify bottlenecks in real time.
  • Strong Customization Options
Users can customize fields, workflows, statuses, and templates extensively, allowing teams to adapt the tool to their unique processes rather than forcing them into a rigid structure.
  • Centralized Product and Engineering Alignment
By linking epics, features, and development tasks, it helps bridge the gap between product management and engineering teams, improving visibility and alignment on priorities and timelines.

Possible disadvantages of Aha! Develop

  • Steep Learning Curve
New users often find the platform complex and overwhelming initially, especially teams unfamiliar with the broader Aha! suite, requiring significant time investment to fully learn its features.
  • Pricing Can Be Expensive
Aha! Develop's pricing structure, especially when bundled with Aha! Roadmaps for full functionality, can be costly for smaller teams or startups compared to other agile development tools.
  • Limited Standalone Value
The tool is most powerful when used alongside Aha! Roadmaps, meaning teams that only need development tracking without the product management components may find it less compelling on its own.
  • Interface Can Feel Cluttered
Some users report that the user interface, with its many features and options, can feel cluttered and less intuitive compared to simpler, more focused development tools like Jira or Linear.
  • Performance Issues with Large Datasets
Teams managing very large backlogs or numerous projects have reported occasional slowdowns or lag when loading boards, reports, or filtering large volumes of data.

  • Solana is the most active crypto project repo on Github in the past 12 months:
Cardano does still have the most commits (3k this week, let alone the month), the website the data in the OP was extracted from is cryptomiso.com, a website that doesn't list Cardano, probably because Sam Bankman or whoever else put money for them to ignore it. Source: about 4 years ago
  • Besides BTC and ETH, Which Coins Have the Largest, Most Active Dev Community?
I don't know what I'm talking about. You're probably right. It's old. I was just going by cryptomiso.com which a bunch of people mentioned but then others said it's BS data. Source: over 4 years ago
  • How many developers are currently building on Terra?
I'm evaluating LUNA as an investment. I don't know how many developers are building here. I know Solana is the one chain with the most commits on cryptomiso.com. Anyone has websites where I can see this info or similar. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Sick of Government inflation gone into privacy coins
Yeah I did she that they work there asses off on cryptomiso.com but I still feel as though they don't fill all the criteria I was after in a coin to warrant purchasing more than I currently own. But they are up there on my list though, they did do well squashing the that problem they had before I must admit. Source: about 5 years ago
  • What makes a good coin, great?
Do they do constant and consistent hard work as well? ie. Try using sites like cryptomiso.com to check the code commits, it will show if the coin is actually being worked on? Deeponion is in the top 100 there, Imagine if people invested accordingly, I'm sure more and more people will do the math given time. Source: about 5 years ago
