ControlCom Connect is a vendor-neutral industrial IoT platform for monitoring critical equipment across multiple locations from a single screen. If you run power systems, refrigeration, pumps, or process equipment across distributed sites, you are usually blind between visits, and the first sign of a problem is the damage: an outage, a spoiled load, a failed transfer, or a surprise utility bill. Connect closes that gap with a real-time portfolio map, drag-and-drop dashboards, and smart alerts by SMS, email, Slack, and mobile push, plus an AI assistant for natural-language questions on live and historical data. It ingests from SCADA systems, controllers, meters, APIs, databases, and 10+ industrial protocols, so it sits on top of whatever you already own. There is nothing to rip out, no vendor lock-in, and you can be live in days, not quarters.

Connect serves multi-site operators in healthcare, water and wastewater, prime power and distributed generation, energy management, manufacturing, oil and gas, data centers, and cold chain and refrigeration. The platform pays for itself in visibility: at one healthcare facility it surfaced a $160K utility billing error that was refunded, and it replaced a $30K energy study. Connect is SOC 2 Type II certified, holds equipment and facility data only, and deploys with an optional edge server for on-site collection. Pricing is self-serve from a developer tier through team plans, with custom enterprise plans for large portfolios.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing ControlCom Connect and Basedash.

What makes your product unique?

ControlCom Connect's answer

Connect puts every one of your sites on one screen and does it without locking you in. Three things set it apart:

Vendor-neutral by design. It sits on top of whatever SCADA, controllers, meters, APIs, databases, and the 10+ industrial protocols you already run. There is nothing to rip out and no proprietary service contract. We are a power systems engineering firm that services everyone's equipment, so we built the platform the same way. Built for multi-site visibility first. A real-time portfolio map, drag-and-drop dashboards, and smart alerts (SMS, email, Slack, push) are designed around teams that run critical equipment across many locations, not a single panel. Live in days, not quarters. You can be watching live dashboards days after first connection, with an optional edge server for on-site collection. It also includes an AI assistant for natural-language questions on live and historical data, and it is SOC 2 Type II certified holding equipment and facility data only.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ControlCom Connect's answer

Operations and facilities leaders who are accountable when an unwatched site fails. The core buyer runs critical equipment (power systems, generators, refrigeration, pumps, process equipment) across multiple locations and is blind between visits. Titles include directors and VPs of operations, plant and facilities operations, engineering and maintenance managers, energy managers, and controls or automation engineers. Industries: healthcare, water and wastewater, prime power and distributed generation, energy management, manufacturing, oil and gas, data centers, and cold chain and refrigeration. It fits any size, from a single-site operator on a self-serve plan to an enterprise managing hundreds of locations, but the platform's story leads with multi-site visibility.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ControlCom Connect's answer

Most monitoring tools make you choose: a single-vendor system that locks you into their hardware, a SCADA build that takes quarters and a systems integrator, or a generic IoT dashboard that does not understand power and critical equipment. Connect avoids all three. It is vendor-neutral so it works with the equipment and service vendors you already have, it deploys in days instead of quarters, and it is built by power systems engineers who know what a failed transfer or a stuck generator actually looks like.

What's the story behind your product?

ControlCom Connect's answer

ControlCom Technologies is a power systems engineering firm. We spend our days retrofitting and modernizing critical electrical infrastructure: switchgear, generators, motor controls, the systems a hospital or a water plant cannot run without. For years we watched the same problem on every job. Teams running equipment across multiple sites were blind between visits, and the first sign of trouble was the damage: an outage, a spoiled load, a failed transfer, or a surprise utility bill. We built Connect to close that gap, putting every site's critical equipment on one screen, on top of whatever the customer already runs, with alerts the moment something moves the wrong way. We made it vendor-neutral on purpose, because we service everyone's gear and did not want to ship one more tool that locks people in. The first time it caught a $160K billing error at a healthcare site and replaced a $30K energy study, we knew it was worth building out.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

ControlCom Connect's answer

Connect is a cloud IIoT platform that ingests from systems, controllers, meters, APIs, databases, and 10+ industrial protocols, with an optional on-site edge server that streams to the cloud over mutual TLS (mTLS). It includes real-time dashboards, interactive SCADA-style one-line diagrams, a smart alerting engine (SMS, email, Slack, mobile push), and an AI assistant for natural-language queries over live and historical data. Security is SOC 2 Type II certified, US hosted, encrypted in transit and at rest, holding equipment and facility data only.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

ControlCom Connect's answer

Connect is used by multi-site operators in healthcare, water and wastewater, prime power and distributed generation, energy management, and cold chain.
