As answered by people managing CommitCat and Relokato.
Relokato's answer:
Relokato is built around one idea: official sources, in the right order.
Relokato's answer:
Choose Relokato if you want to plan and run your move yourself, with a clear picture of every step.
Relocation services handle parts of the paperwork for you and charge per service. Relokato is different: it gives you the whole plan, in order, with each official step linked to its government source, so you understand the process and can decide where you want outside help.
Relokato's answer:
Relokato is a web app. It runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile, with nothing to install.
Relokato's answer:
People moving abroad on their own, without a company relocation package:
That includes long-term moves that may not be permanent, like a two-year contract or a stay on a fixed-term visa. What they share is that they're organising the move themselves and want to know exactly which steps exist and in what order.
Relokato's answer:
I've moved internationally several times, always on my own, and I've helped people around me do the same. Every time, the hard part wasn't the research. It was not knowing what I didn't know: which documents to bring, which steps even existed, what had to happen before what, and whether a visa needed a lawyer or could be done yourself.
After one of those moves, a friend said, "I don't know how you've done it with so many moves." That stuck with me. The tools available were either corporate relocation platforms for HR teams or services that sell individual paperwork steps. Nothing gave a self-directed mover the full picture, in order, with the official source for each step.
So I built Relokato: the checklist I wish I'd had, with every official step sourced and dated.
