ComiXology features and specs

  • Wide Selection
ComiXology offers a large selection of comics, graphic novels, and manga from various publishers including Marvel, DC, Image, and independent creators, providing a diverse range of genres and stories.
  • Digital Convenience
The platform allows users to purchase and read comics digitally, making it convenient to access comics on multiple devices without needing physical storage space.
  • Guided View
ComiXologyโ€™s Guided View technology enhances the reading experience on digital devices by providing an intuitive and immersive way to read individual panels and pages.
  • Subscription Service
ComiXology Unlimited offers a subscription service providing access to a vast library of comics for a monthly fee, which is cost-effective for avid readers.

Possible disadvantages of ComiXology

  • Ownership Concerns
Purchases are tied to the ComiXology platform, raising concerns about long-term access if the service changes or shuts down, as users do not own a physical copy.
  • Platform Integration
Since its acquisition by Amazon, ComiXology has been integrated with Amazon's ecosystem, which may complicate account management and user experience for some users.
  • Limited Offline Access
While ComiXology enables offline reading, it requires prior downloading of comics, and storage capacity on devices can limit the number of comics accessible offline.
  • Price Variation
Some users may find digital copies priced similarly to or higher than physical versions, potentially reducing the perceived value of digital purchases despite the convenience factor.

Aha! Develop features and specs

Aha! Develop offers robust, customizable reporting features including burndown charts, velocity reports, and dashboards that help teams track progress and identify bottlenecks in real time.
  • Strong Customization Options
Users can customize fields, workflows, statuses, and templates extensively, allowing teams to adapt the tool to their unique processes rather than forcing them into a rigid structure.
  • Centralized Product and Engineering Alignment
By linking epics, features, and development tasks, it helps bridge the gap between product management and engineering teams, improving visibility and alignment on priorities and timelines.

Possible disadvantages of Aha! Develop

  • Steep Learning Curve
New users often find the platform complex and overwhelming initially, especially teams unfamiliar with the broader Aha! suite, requiring significant time investment to fully learn its features.
  • Pricing Can Be Expensive
Aha! Develop's pricing structure, especially when bundled with Aha! Roadmaps for full functionality, can be costly for smaller teams or startups compared to other agile development tools.
  • Limited Standalone Value
The tool is most powerful when used alongside Aha! Roadmaps, meaning teams that only need development tracking without the product management components may find it less compelling on its own.
  • Interface Can Feel Cluttered
Some users report that the user interface, with its many features and options, can feel cluttered and less intuitive compared to simpler, more focused development tools like Jira or Linear.
  • Performance Issues with Large Datasets
Teams managing very large backlogs or numerous projects have reported occasional slowdowns or lag when loading boards, reports, or filtering large volumes of data.

  • Unlimited list?
Not that I know of. I basically browse between the Comixology Unlimited and Comixology Original tabs on the comixology.com website. There's several prebuilt filters within each tab. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Marvel App Being Shutdown. Purchases will be transferred to Marvel Unlimited app.
The Marvel app is the only app being closed. Comixology and Kindle apps will remain. The FAQ states you do not need unlimited to access your previously purchased content. Buying more books can still be done on Comixology on Amazon. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Comixology Glitch
Have you tried managing your library via the desktop web site and returning a few books there to see if it helps? (I think that embedded link is global, but if it isn't, go to comixology.com, then "My Account", then "Manage your library"). The books you've borrowed should have a button labeled something like "Return this book" to take it out of your account. Do that for a few of them, especially the ones you... Source: over 3 years ago
  • New to comics. Is the state of everything a good time to join?
There's no requirement to "join" to use comixology. It is simply a platform by which you can read the books that you purchase through comixology. Its fit for you is completely dependent on the selection of books offered in the catalog. Now there is a subscription service called "Comixology Unlimited" which allows you to read for free (note read not own; think like a library loan) a selection of the catalog that... • I absolutely HATE the integration with Kindle. Who asked for this?
I do recommend using the comixology app to read and use comixology.com for shopping and purchase. I know these are just wallpaper to kindle and amazon, but I just find the compartmentalization easier to manage, especially at the start. If you read text books on kindle you will probably have to select the filter in the library to show only books and not comic books and manga. Source: about 4 years ago
