Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

CodeMorph API 5 features
Potatometer 7 features
  • Convenient RapidAPI Integration
Being hosted on RapidAPI means it benefits from a standardized API testing interface, unified authentication via API keys, and simplified billing alongside other RapidAPI subscriptions, making it easy to test and integrate quickly.
  • Code Transformation Utility
As a code transformation/conversion tool, it can save developers time by automating repetitive code refactoring or conversion tasks that would otherwise need to be done manually.
  • Quick Prototyping
Useful for developers who want to quickly prototype code conversions or transformations without setting up local tooling or writing custom scripts.
  • Accessible Documentation via RapidAPI Hub
RapidAPI's hub typically provides built-in documentation, code snippets in multiple languages, and a testing console, making it easier to understand endpoint usage without needing external docs.
  • Pay-per-use or Tiered Pricing
Like most RapidAPI-hosted APIs, it likely offers flexible pricing tiers (including a free tier for testing), allowing developers to scale usage based on need without large upfront commitments.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Transparency on Capabilities
Detailed technical specifications, such as supported languages, transformation types, and accuracy rates, are not always clearly documented on the RapidAPI listing, making it hard to assess suitability before subscribing.
  • Dependency on Third-Party Availability
Since it's hosted by an individual developer (JackLillie) on RapidAPI rather than a major enterprise, there's a risk of inconsistent uptime, slower support response times, or the API being discontinued without much notice.
  • Potential Rate Limits and Pricing Constraints
Free or lower-tier plans typically come with strict rate limits, which may not be sufficient for production-level or high-volume code transformation tasks.
  • Possible Accuracy Limitations
Automated code transformation tools often struggle with complex or highly context-dependent code, potentially requiring manual review and correction after using the API.
  • Niche/Less Established API
Being a smaller, less mainstream API compared to well-known code transformation services, it may have a smaller user community, fewer reviews, and less battle-tested reliability in production environments.
  • Combined SEO & GEO Scoring
The first tool to analyze if your website is discoverable by both traditional Google search AND modern AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity).
  • 36 Verified Checks
Performs comprehensive, real-time tests across technical SEO, on-page optimization, AI crawlability, structured data, and content depth—with zero fake data.
  • Actionable Step-by-Step Fixes
Goes beyond vague advice by providing exact code-level instructions, prioritized by impact (High/Medium/Low), with estimated time and difficulty.
  • Critical Failure Detection
Instantly identifies major deal-breakers that block AI crawlers (like client-side rendering issues or missing HTTPS) and caps scores accordingly.
  • Fun "Potato" Metaphor
Gamifies website optimization with a highly shareable rating system, scoring sites from a "Raw Potato" (needs work) to a "Loaded Baked Potato" (excellent).
  • AI Citation Prediction (Premium
An LLM-powered feature that specifically tests and predicts if major AI models will actually cite your website's content in their answers.
  • Topic Authority Map (Premium
Visual content gap analysis and competitive intelligence comparing your site against your top 5 competitors.

CodeMorph API
Potatometer

Overall verdict

  • CodeMorph API appears to be a niche code transformation/conversion tool available via RapidAPI, offering decent utility for developers needing quick code conversions, though it may lack the depth and reliability of dedicated, well-established transpilation tools.

Why this product is good

  • Accessible through RapidAPI's unified marketplace, simplifying authentication and billing
  • Likely supports multiple programming language conversions for quick prototyping
  • Pay-per-use or subscription pricing model typical of RapidAPI can be cost-effective for low-volume use

  • Quick integration via REST API calls into existing development workflows

Recommended for

  • Developers needing occasional quick code snippet conversions between languages
  • Small teams or solo developers avoiding heavy local tooling setup
  • Prototyping and experimentation rather than production-critical code transformation
  • Users already utilizing RapidAPI for other services who want unified billing

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing CodeMorph API and Potatometer.

What makes your product unique?

Potatometer's answer:

In an age where AI makes building products easy, distribution is the only moat. Yet, founders are optimizing for the wrong future. They are optimizing for 2020's Google search, while user behavior has shifted to asking ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. If an AI crawler sees a blank page because of client-side rendering or poor structure, you are invisible to your future customers. Potatometer solves this by testing if your site is discoverable by BOTH traditional search engines and modern AI systems.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Potatometer's answer:

Existing tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush are expensive ($99+), provide vague advice, and entirely ignore AI discoverability. Potatometer is unique because:

First-mover in GEO: We check both SEO and Generative Engine Optimization.

Actionable, not vague: We don't just say "improve mobile." We provide step-by-step code fixes prioritized by impact.

Zero fake data: Every score reflects real, verified data. We refuse to use seeded scores or fake review data.

High virality: We turned a boring, technical topic into a fun, shareable "potato score" (from raw potato to loaded baked potato).

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Potatometer's answer:

Solo founders struggling with organic user acquisition.

Content creators who want their work cited by AI platforms.

Developers building side projects who need distribution.

Small businesses with limited marketing budgets.

SEO agencies looking for white-label AI optimization tools.

What's the story behind your product?

Potatometer's answer:

As a solo founder who has launched multiple apps, I kept hitting the exact same wall: organic user acquisition. AI has made building products incredibly easy, but getting users is harder than ever. I tried traditional SEO, but it was slow. I looked at my own behavior and realized I wasn't Googling things anymore—I was asking ChatGPT and Claude.

I tested my own "perfectly SEO-optimized" React sites and realized they were completely invisible to AI crawlers. I had schema issues, no llms.txt file, and client-side rendering blocked AI bots. I was optimized for yesterday.

I built Potatometer because I needed a tool that honestly told me if I was visible to BOTH Google and AI systems. I used the potato metaphor to make a highly technical, intimidating topic fun and shareable. I explicitly refused to use fake data or vanity metrics—every one of our 32 checks is real and verified. If you want to know if you're a raw potato or a perfectly loaded baked potato in the eyes of AI, this is the tool for you.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Potatometer's answer:

Frontend: React, Vite, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS

Backend: Supabase Edge Functions

Analysis: Rule-based scoring (Free) and LLM-powered analysis (Premium)

Deployment: Lovable.dev

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Potatometer's answer:

Currently I have new startup founders using the tool.
