    You got me curious so I did a quick google search. Apparently fancy steakhouses sometimes cook their steaks at very high temperatures, but I couldn't find a number for the temp. I did find an infrared grill that cooks steaks at 1,500f, and even at that temperature, it cooks for 60 seconds on each side.
