In my experience it can be very difficult to get even decent scans of many paintings. I've had a bit of luck with wikiart.org on occasion. The ARC also has some serviceable images. If you want art/artists that pushes the Magic boundaries a bit I'd recommend wikiart.org. You can look for art based on art movements and genre and find some cool people.
