Mewmori is a pixel cat that lives on your Mac desktop and gets to know you. It asks your name, takes the one you give it, then asks what you do. After that it remembers. Not a chat log: facts. What you work on, what you like, what kept you busy last week. Days later it brings that up on its own....

As answered by people managing CodeinCloud and Mewmori.
Mewmori's answer:
The memory is about you, not about the conversation. It keeps facts, not transcripts, and returns to them days later without being asked.
And there is no cloud path to fall back on. The model runs on your Mac through llama.cpp, so there is no setting that sends a reply, a screenshot or a memory anywhere else.
Mewmori's answer:
It is a cat first. It has its own day: food, zoomies, hide-and-seek, a herb garden, expeditions. The talking sits inside that life instead of replacing it, so what you get on the desktop is company, not another panel.
Everything runs locally, the app is free, and the paid part is cosmetic. Skins and accessories, bought once, no subscription.
Mewmori's answer:
People who keep a Mac open all day: developers, designers, writers, students. It reads the screen for context and remembers across sessions, so it pays off for someone who works in one place for hours, not someone who opens the laptop twice a week. Russian and English.
Mewmori's answer:
The name reads two ways. Mew plus memory, a cat that remembers you. And memento mori. The second reading is deliberate: the cat has a life of its own going on whether you look at it or not.
It started as a desktop pet and turned into a memory problem. Making a cat move is easy. Making it bring up, a week later, the one thing you told it once is the part that took the work. Built by one developer; first public release 18 August 2026.
Mewmori's answer:
Swift 6 and SwiftUI, a native macOS app, universal binary for Apple Silicon and Intel.
Conversations: llama.cpp with a Qwen 3.5 2B model in GGUF, running on Metal.
Screen context: ScreenCaptureKit and Vision, OCR on device.
Updates: Sparkle.
