Talking runs on a Qwen 3.5 (2B) model through llama.cpp, on your machine. The model is 1.4 GB and downloads only the first time you want to talk. Say no and the cat still lives its life. Replies, screen contents and memories never leave the Mac. There is no account.
The rest of the time it does cat things. It notices what is on your screen, begs for food, gets the zoomies, plays hide-and-seek and tic-tac-toe, grows herbs and goes on expeditions.
The app is free and weighs 26 MB. macOS 14.6 or later, universal binary. Only skins and accessories cost money, one payment, no subscription. Windows and Linux are in progress.
