Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing CodeinCloud and B2B Planr.

What makes your product unique?

B2B Planr's answer:

B2B Planr is marketing planning software that is dedicated only to B2B marketers.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

B2B Planr's answer:

B2B Planr is much simpler and easier to use than alternatives that are not dedicated to B2B teams. Drawing on 25+ years of B2B marketing experience, it provides the templates, structures dashboards, and workflows that are needed by B2B teams to document and track marketing plans.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

B2B Planr's answer:

B2B marketing directors, heads of marketing, and CMOs in small to midsized enterprises.

What's the story behind your product?

B2B Planr's answer:

After 25 years working in B2B marketing, including as a CMO and for some of the world's most respected and forward-thinking brands, there was an ever-present niggle. I had never found an easy way to explain to someone what my marketing plan was.

I created plans in a combination of excel, CRM, marketing automation, and project management tools. When I needed to share it with executives or sales teams, I wasted hours creating pretty charts and manually updating data.

It was a mess. I needed a way to capture my plans like excel. Model and track real-time results like my CRM. And share it with colleagues in visually interesting and easy to understand ways like PowerPoint.

I asked my extensive network and they too struggled with the same issues and none had found the killer app. Marketing Resource Management (MRM) was a possible option but it was expensive and focused too much on asset management.

Then I found low-code/no-code visual programming tools that gave me the platform to build what I needed. Drawing on my early career experience of configuring HR & Payroll applications as a consultant (and decades working for tech companies), it felt natural to ‘program’ a B2B planning app of my own.

After using it in my fractional CMO and consulting work, I figured others might benefit too. So here it is. Available for you to use. A simple B2B Marketing planning tool at low cost with powerful benefits.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

B2B Planr's answer:

  • bubble.io
  • AWS
  • GitHub
  • Vercel
  • Salesforce
  • HubSpot
