Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Codegres.org and EthosOne.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

EthosOne's answer:

Kings Baptist Grammar School Blackfriars Priory School Melton Christian College

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

EthosOne's answer:

EthosOne is a cloud-based SaaS platform built on modern web technologies and deployed via containerised infrastructure. It is accessible via browser with no software installation required.

What makes your product unique?

EthosOne's answer:

EthosOne is the only GRC platform designed from the ground up for independent schools. Every feature, every workflow, and every report is built around the compliance and governance obligations that principals and boards actually face - not adapted from enterprise software built for corporates. The result is a system that school leaders can use without a risk team, a consultant, or a manual.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

EthosOne's answer:

Incumbents are built for large enterprises and adapted for education. Microsoft Excel is a workaround, not a solution. EthosOne is purpose-built for the independent school context - structured enough to satisfy boards and auditors, simple enough that a principal can run it without dedicated compliance staff. Schools get compliance infrastructure that matches how they actually operate.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

EthosOne's answer:

Independent school principals, business managers, and board chairs in Australia and New Zealand who are accountable for governance and compliance but don't have a dedicated risk or compliance function to support them.

What's the story behind your product?

EthosOne's answer:

ete Holliday and Dave Yeates spent years working across high-compliance sectors - BHP, government, and schools - and kept running into the same problem. Leaders who were accountable for serious regulatory obligations had nothing between a spreadsheet and an enterprise platform costing more than their budget. In schools, it was acute. One incumbent supplier had captured 65% of the market, and almost everyone using it wanted out. But switching felt risky - there was no safe alternative that covered what they needed. EthosOne was built to be that alternative. Not a task app. Not another project management tool. An accountability and governance infrastructure that creates a structured relationship between a school and its obligations - compliance calendars, risk registers, policy management, and board reporting - in one place, maintained in real time. The turning point was deploying early with a local kindergarten. Nine staff, ninety children, one director managing everything alone. When she saw the platform running, she wept. She said she got her weekends back. That's the problem EthosOne solves. Schools should be educating, not administrating. EthosOne gives principals and boards the governance infrastructure to do both.
