Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing CodeClimate and IndexProbe.

What's the story behind your product?

IndexProbe's answer:

IndexProbe was born from a question every SEO keeps asking: "Is Google really indexing all of my important pages?" The only tool with the real answer, Google Search Console's URL inspector, works one URL at a time, which makes it impractical across a full site. Other tools fall short too: crawlers show what a site exposes (not what Google indexed), index checkers only say yes or no, and log analyzers are costly and complex to set up. So we built IndexProbe to bring GSC's official verdict to your entire list of URLs, with the speed and simplicity of a SaaS.

What makes your product unique?

IndexProbe's answer:

IndexProbe is the bulk version of Google's URL Inspection tool. The GSC inspector gives you Google's real, official verdict, but only one URL at a time. IndexProbe runs that same inspection across your whole list of URLs in a single analysis, so you see what Google actually decided for every page: its indexation status and, if it's not indexed, the official reason (Crawled โ€“ currently not indexed, Soft 404, Duplicate without canonicalโ€ฆ), plus the canonical Google chose and the last crawl date. No crawling, no sampling, no binary indexed / not indexed.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

IndexProbe's answer:

  • vs the GSC URL inspector โ€” the same official verdict, but on your whole list, filterable, exportable and repeatable, instead of one URL at a time.
  • vs index checkers โ€” they tell you if a page is indexed; IndexProbe tells you why it isn't, so you know what to fix.
  • vs SEO crawlers โ€” they see what your site exposes; IndexProbe sees what Google decided.
  • vs log analyzers โ€” Google crawl data (rate, frequency, by segment) with zero setup, at a fraction of the cost.
  • Plus a before/after Comparison, automated monitoring with regression alerts, and multi-site / multi-client support.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

IndexProbe's answer:

  • SEO consultants and agencies tracking indexation across multiple sites and clients in parallel.
  • In-house SEO and marketing teams running a content-heavy or large site.
  • Anyone who needs Google's official indexation data across all their strategic pages, from a few hundred to 100k+ URLs, without inspecting them one by one.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

IndexProbe's answer:

  • Next.js (React, TypeScript), hosted on Vercel
  • Tailwind CSS, PrimeReact and Recharts for the UI and data visualizations
  • Supabase (PostgreSQL + auth)
  • Stripe (billing), Resend (email), PostHog (analytics)
  • Core data from the official Google Search Console API
