Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Scoopkit.dev's answer:

Most alternatives are general-purpose news APIs that happen to cover AI as one topic among many, with free tiers that are either token-limited, request-capped under a few hundred a month, or explicitly restricted from production use. Scoopkit's free tier is 100 requests a day, recurring, and usable in production from day one. Paid pricing is a flat $49/mo for 10,000 requests a day, not a credit or token system to track.

What makes your product unique?

Scoopkit is a news API built only for the AI industry. Instead of returning raw articles, it merges duplicate coverage of the same story into one structured event, then classifies it into a fixed taxonomy of 10 categories and 57 subcategories. Most news APIs are horizontal and leave deduplication to you. Scoopkit does that work at ingest, scoped entirely to AI news.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Developers and small teams building AI agents, dashboards, or alerting tools that need to track the AI industry itself: model releases, funding rounds, safety and policy news, research publications. Anyone who'd otherwise be stitching together RSS feeds and Google Alerts to follow AI news programmatically.

What's the story behind your product?

Scoopkit.dev's answer:

AI industry news is scattered across dozens of outlets, and the same announcement gets covered by 5 different sites within hours. Following it programmatically meant either paying for a broad, expensive news API and building deduplication yourself, or hand-rolling RSS feeds that break constantly (Anthropic, for one, ships no official RSS feed at all). Scoopkit exists to be the version of that pipeline already built: one API, real deduplication, a taxonomy built specifically for AI news.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Scoopkit.dev's answer:

Python 3.12, FastAPI, PostgreSQL with pgvector for embeddings, Redis, SQLAlchemy 2 (async), Voyage AI for embeddings, OpenRouter for classification (a free-model cascade falling back to Claude Haiku 4.5), hosted on Railway with the marketing site on Vercel.
