I built NoSuggest because I kept opening YouTube with one video in mind and closing it an hour later having watched none of it. The problem isn't YouTube's content. It's the recommendation engine wrapped around it. Designed to maximise watch time, not to serve the viewer.

NoSuggest is a distraction-free YouTube client. You add the channels you follow or search a video. That's all you see. No suggested videos, no recommendation, no auto-play, no Shorts, no sidebar, no notifications. Nothing loads except what you chose.

A few technical details that might interest this crowd:

The frontend is a single HTML file. No framework, no build step. A lightweight Cloudflare Worker handles API proxying to keep credentials off the client. Everything user-facing - watch history, channel list. It stays in localStorage and never leaves the device.

The thing I am most proud of: it works on mobile. Browser extensions don't. Most screen time happens on phones, which is exactly where distraction tools tend to fail. NoSuggest installs as a PWA directly from the browser.

It also has a kids mode. Parents add approved channels and lock with a PIN.

Completely Free, source-available frontend on GitHub. No account needed. No sign-in. Just open nosuggest.com and start using. Everything stays on the device.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

NoSuggest's answer:

And there is none in the market which can work reliably in the mobile where real doom scrolling happens.
