CoachTide is practice-management software built specifically for professional coaches, not retrofitted from a sales CRM. Booking, client records, session notes and prep, invoicing and payments, intake and agreements, reminders and follow-ups, and automatic ICF hours tracking live in one connected system, so a finished session updates your hours, your invoice, and your follow-up at once.

How a practice runs on CoachTide: clients book from your booking page with your real availability, and Google Calendar stays in sync. Automated reminders cut no-shows without you sending a single message. When a new client goes active, your intake form and coaching agreement go out on their own. Every client has one connected record with goals, session notes, prep, agreements, and billing history, so you walk into each session already caught up. Group coaching and cohorts are supported alongside one-on-one work, and a client portal keeps communication in one secure place. You also get a simple coach website and expense tracking with email-in receipt capture.

Getting paid runs itself: invoices generate from completed sessions, and automatic payments can charge your client's saved card after each session through Stripe, with card, PayPal, and Interac e-Transfer supported. CoachTide takes no cut of your client payments.

For credentialed coaches, CoachTide tracks ICF coaching hours automatically. Completed sessions roll into your ACC, PCC, or MCC progress with real clock-hour math, reciprocal coaching arrangements are handled correctly, and CCEUs are tracked for three-year renewal cycles. No separate log to maintain.

Switching tools is designed to be safe: the AI-assisted importer brings clients and history over from your previous platform while reading only the structure of your export file, never your clients' content. A built-in AI assistant answers product questions as you work.

Privacy comes first, with data stored in Canada.

React Server features and specs

  • Server-side rendering built-in
React Server provides built-in server-side rendering (SSR) out of the box, which improves initial page load performance and SEO without requiring complex custom setup.
  • Fast page transitions
React Server supports fast client-side page transitions after the initial server render, giving users a smooth single-page application experience while retaining SSR benefits.
  • Built on React
Since it is built on top of React, developers already familiar with React can leverage their existing knowledge and the vast React ecosystem of components and libraries.
  • Code splitting and lazy loading
React Server supports automatic code splitting and lazy loading of components, which helps reduce the initial bundle size and improves page load times for end users.
  • Simplified SSR configuration
Compared to setting up SSR manually with React, React Server abstracts away much of the complexity involved in server rendering, routing, and hydration, making it easier to get started.

Possible disadvantages of React Server

  • Small community and ecosystem
React Server has a relatively small community compared to mainstream frameworks like Next.js or Remix, which means fewer tutorials, third-party plugins, and community support resources are available.
  • Limited maintenance and updates
The project has seen limited active development and maintenance over time, raising concerns about long-term viability, bug fixes, and compatibility with newer versions of React.
  • Sparse documentation
The documentation for React Server is not as comprehensive or well-maintained as that of more popular alternatives, making it harder for new developers to learn and troubleshoot issues.
  • Fewer features compared to alternatives
Compared to mature frameworks like Next.js, React Server lacks many modern features such as API routes, built-in image optimization, incremental static regeneration, and a rich plugin ecosystem.
  • Risk of project abandonment
Given the low activity on the project's repository and the dominance of competing frameworks, there is a risk that the project may become abandoned, leaving adopters without future support or updates.

Analysis of React Server

Overall verdict

  • React Server (react-server.io) is a specialized framework for building server-rendered React applications with a focus on performance and simplified architecture, but I don't have verified, up-to-date information confirming its current status, adoption, or quality compared to alternatives like Next.js or Remix. I'd recommend researching current reviews and documentation directly before making a decision.

Why this product is good

  • Claims to offer server-side rendering capabilities for React applications
  • May provide an alternative approach to SSR compared to more established frameworks
  • Specific technical merits would depend on your project requirements and current documentation

Recommended for

  • Developers researching alternative SSR solutions for React
  • Teams willing to evaluate niche or less mainstream frameworks
  • Projects where established frameworks like Next.js don't fit specific architectural needs
  • Users who should verify current features, community support, and maintenance status before adopting

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing CoachTide and React Server.

What's the story behind your product?

CoachTide's answer

CoachTide was built by Jacob Hokanson, an ICF-credentialed coach who got tired of running his practice across spreadsheets, calendars, invoicing tools, and a paper hours log. He built the system he wished existed: one where the admin does itself so the coach can just show up and coach. It runs his own practice today, and it is now in private beta with a growing group of coaches.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

CoachTide's answer

Most coaching platforms are either general CRMs adapted for coaching or cover one slice of the job, like packages or scheduling. CoachTide covers the whole practice in one flat plan: booking, client records, session prep, intake and agreements, invoicing with automatic post-session payments, group coaching, a client portal, and automatic ICF hour tracking. No tiers, no upsells, and no cut taken from your client payments.

What makes your product unique?

CoachTide's answer

CoachTide is built by a working coach, specifically for coaches, and everything in it is connected: when a session completes, your ICF hours, your invoice, and your follow-up all update themselves. Automatic ICF hour tracking (ACC, PCC, MCC), including reciprocal arrangements and CCEUs, is built into the core rather than bolted on. Data is stored in Canada, privacy comes first, and the AI-assisted importer reads only the structure of your old tool's export, never your clients' content.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

CoachTide's answer

Independent professional coaches and small coaching practices: life, business, leadership, and executive coaches. Especially ICF-credentialed coaches, or those logging hours toward ACC, PCC, or MCC, in Canada and the United States.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

CoachTide's answer

A modern web stack on PostgreSQL, with all data stored in Canada. Stripe powers payments (card, PayPal, Interac e-Transfer). AI assists with data import from other platforms and in-product support.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

CoachTide's answer

Independent professional coaches. The client list stays private by design; privacy is the product.
